Your SD slot is for a memory card and putting a sim card into it will not solve anything. Call your mobile carrier and check with them regarding the sim card. Maybe your phone doesn't take a sim card. Go to LG.com and in the search area list LG Optimus user's manual and that should answer your questions. I looked on that web site for my LG user's manual, found it and downloaded it I WOULD LIKE TO MENTION TO THOSE OF US THAT CANNOT FIND A MICRO SIM CARD FOR OUR PHONES UNLESS YOU WANT TO PAY +$70.00 ON AMAZON. TAKE YOUR REGULAR SIZED SIM CARD TO A LOCAL CELL PHONE STORE AND ASK THEM IF THEY HAVE A SIM CARD CUTTER. IF THEY DO, THEY WILL PROBABLY CUT YOUR SIM TO A MICRO OR NANO SIM FOR FREE. IT WORKED FOR ME.
Have you tried going into your Mobile Networks and Network Operators settings? In the Mobile Networks settings, you should find "Network Mode". Check to make sure that is in "GSM/WCDMA (auto mode)" If that doesn't work, try clicking the "Network Operators" in the same settings group and then hit "Search networks".
Had the same problem with a LG Optimus 2X and tried every button but nothing worked until I locked the screen during a call and unlocked it, somehow this un-greyed the buttons for dialpad and I can now dial during a call (i.e. checking answer machine messages). Hope this helps
try it first..
his was a major PITA to figure out, but doing it is pretty easy.
1. Download the LG Mobile Support Tool to your Windows computer from LG right here.
2. Install it, and while the phone is DISCONNECTED open the program.
3. Under the Options & Help menu, choose Country & Language. Set Singapore as your country, and English as your language (unless you prefer another of the listed languages. **** was not listed.)
4. Next, on the main window choose to install the USB driver, and choose LGP500 as the model number.
5. Wait while the app downloads and installs 4 or 5 separate drivers.
6. On your Optimus One, enable USB debugging and plug it in.
You now have the ADB driver, and the USB modem drivers installed. You know what to do next.then do it:http://www.knowyourcell.com/lg/lg-optimus-t/optimus-t-guides/627358/how_to_install_ringtones_on_your_lg_optimus_t.html
HI letticiasant take your battery out of the lg optimus. Next you need to make sure your txts are not getting stuck. Send a test txt from your phone to your phone. Next you need to make sure your data network is not on the wifi. The wifi could prevent your txts forming going throught. Also refresh the network.
