It sounds like your DVD drive's lazer has stopped working. Try buying a DVD head cleaner from any local computer repair shop and running that through your Xbox 360. This often solves this problem, but if not, you will need to contact Microsoft to come and repair your console. Hopefully you still have a warranty on it.
It could be many things is the can be a bad lazer, disc rotating motor is stuck, or bad motherboard in a worst case scenario. You can check if your lazer and your disc rotating motor is working if you open your umd slot with the psp on and with a small toothpick there is a black tab that sticks up, this tells the PSP that there is a UMD in the drive If you press this down, you should see the disc motor spin and the laser light up red. If they are in working order then it could be something wrong with some of the other hardware in the psp itself. (Caution: Do not stare directly at lazer) If one of the motor (Lazer or Disk rotating motor) are twitching or trying to move there could be some dust in the gear preventing it from turning you can try getting a needle and try to move the gear manually. If this does not work your most likely going to need to send it in for repair. Hope this helps please rate thanks!
It depends. Did you move the console at all while a disc was in the tray, even if it was powered off? If so, that's the cause. Another thing to try is laying the console Horizontally instead of standing up (Which is bad for your 360 anyways). If that doesn't solve your issues contact Microsoft.
the red ring of death means you have a bricked XBOX. something has
gone wrong with the hardware inside, and you need to take it back to
the shop you purchased it from, so they can replace it under
warranty.this is not an unusual problem to encounter, but
unfortunately, can only be repaired by qualified repair specialists.
the best they can do for you, is either swap out the hardware and give
you a new box, or they send yours away and you wait the 4-6 weeks for
it to be repaired and sent back..
Does it say it keeps opening and closing or does it literally open and close if so its probably something wrong the motor acting or somthing inside of the disc drive if thats the case then i'm sorry to say but you might have to get a new disc drive. If your 360 is under warranty send it into microsoft if its not under warranty go online and find a disc drive but make sure its the same one you have currently inside of your 360.
Have you ever had to replace that disc drive before or no? if so then your disc drive is the wrong one for that 360
