Help needed on ricoh ft 4015 copier

First i have two problems first while copying over 20 pages it starts to jam and i have to open the side hatch and pull out the paper second just recently this started while copying half of the page isnt clear its dark and unreadable and if i lighten the tone the bottom part of the page doesnt show so please help me solve our problem. Our school cant afford to purchase a new one and where we are located there is no services available

1-you need to determine if the two are part of the same problem

If the jamming occured first with no signs of copy quality issues then, it depends on where it's jamming. Locate the 1st jammed paper, the one that is furthest towards the exit. this stops all other paper after it. for example if there are papers in the fuser -by the drum and coming out if the tray the problem is most likely in the fuser area. Are the papers being crumbled? or just stop at that location?

2-the half dark copies could be a couple of things
a) the seperation unit is going bad and making the copies rise up against the drum
b)does the lamp that come on to scan the original stay on the whole lenght of the paper or does it turn off half way down the page? if yes the cable that connects to the lamp is probably broken and not making contact at the half way point as it is scanning.

minimise this problem by creating half prints ie; whilst making a copy, open the front or side cover or even off the machine and than remove the jammed copy from within the machine to determine whether the mark is on the copy and drum itself. If it is than the probable cause would be the cleaning blade.

E53 on ricoh ft 4015


When E5 service call condition occur,for safety reasons they cannot be cleared by turning the machine main switch off and on.The following procedure must be performed to clear these service call condition:-after repairing the machine turn on the main switch.-enter SP mode 9-turn the power switch off and on.E53 = temperature detected by the fuser thermistor higher.Causes:thermistor short,triac short.fusing harness shorted

I have a Ricoh Aficio 2045 and whenever i try to copy double sided the paper jams in the copier but is fine when copying single sided. It always Jams at Point C in the photocopier?? Can anyone help me??


This jam problems are always very difficult to solve without seeing the machine!
Because i need to see the jam location or take a report to see where the paper jams.
you say that it is on the Point C, but that just helps a little.
I can tell you that you have a problem in the duplex door (but you already know that). It could be several things like; transport rollers, gates, solenoids... well, the best help i can give you is to advise you to call your technical support.

THe main problems are toner spill form drom/dev units ..the transfer on the right hand door will have to be emptied every few months. the paper tray paper stops need to be checked as they come out of place and cause paper jams if not set in place..cahrge rollers can be troublesome if not cleaned every coulple of months and may cause dirty image at the sides or lines on copies..dust on laser **** glass can cause faint on sides of copies.. the fuser stripper fingers tat guide the paper need to be checked for toner under the points to stop paper jams in fuser and the lower guide plate entrance to the fuser needs to be cleaned off every now and then to stop crinklin of paper...apart from that good machine

I have a RICOH FT 4022 copier and it displays E 5 error code. It does not allow copying. I have checked the fuser unit and its ok. What could be the problem? Do I need a reset code to solve it and where do...


The E5 code is the fuser malfunction error.
E52 fusing lamp warm up error.Possible causes thermistor open,heater lamp open,thermofuse open.
E53 fusing lamp overheat.Thermistor in shortcircuit
E55 fusing thermistor open
When service call E5 conditions occur they cannot be cleared by turning OFF/ON the power switch.To reset turn ON the main switch,turn DIP switch 101-1 ON and OFF(the DIP switch is located in rear part under main supply board).,and turn the main switch OFF and ON.

Ricoh FT 4015 too dark


Depends how many copies are in it. The PCU goes at about 60,000 prints its ordered as a supply. This is the heart of the machine. Lastly would be the fuser. -Carl

Ricoh Aficio 1035 ARDF is not duplexing, why?


Call a technician, seems like the original is not making the second scan pass and thus displaying a mis-feed, cut also be a small piece of paper in the feeder bloacking a sensor, bad sensor or worn feed tires. www.mfpsolutions.blogpsot.com

Copying using the Duplex function


Press on duplex button and scan your originals one by one on the platen mode (exposure glass). You cannot use the ADF for this function.
After every scan press the Start button.
After the last page please press the enter button as displaying in the display.
Then the copier itself can finish making duplex copies as you wanted.
