I have a T30 (2367) with 512mb. I have 'Quick Boot' enabled, and 'Extended
Memory Test' disabled, yet still it sits there at the POST and counts all
the way up to 510mb :(
When I first got this machine (used), it did this. I entered the CMOS Setup,
did something - possibly turn off Quick Boot then back on and then it POSTed
nice and quick. Since then I've replaced the Mini-PCI 802.11b card with an
Atheros 802.11a/b/g card, and have updated the BIOS and Embedded Controller
Firmware. It now won't Quick Boot again.
If I hit F1 to enter CMOS Setup, it bypasses the Extended memory test - but
I want it to do this on a normal boot. It's already a P.I.T.A that I have to
hit Esc when it whines about me having a nonstandard Netword (wireless) card
in there.
Can anybody shed any light?
Cheers,
Carl
