My apologies for the delay in responding. If it were not for another member of the community smartsolve calling my attention, I would have failed seeing this post of yours entirely.

To your concern, a couple of ideas:

  • determine whether it is a jetflash problem or USB port problem of the PC. try a different flashdrive in your PC or try the jetflash in another PC;
  • if you have determined that it is indeed the jetflash that is the concern, pls go to the JetFlash site or specifically to their Download Center, enter the exact model number of your flashdrive. Look for Utilities, Recovery and firmware applicable to your unit.
  • if it is the PC's USB ports that is the issue, pls try to rollback the USB drivers or update the drivers using the manufacturer's drivers instead of the Microsoft installed ones.
Hope this be of initial help/idea. Pls post back how things turned up or should you need additional information.

My transcend jetflash 8gb does not allow me to read or write files from it

I had a similar problem with my transcend flash drive. Ensure the system is virus free. I was able to copy the content of the flash to a folder on my desktop, then reformated the flash drive. Then i sent the copied folder back to the flash drive. Today, I am still using the flash drive.

My computer won't detect my sandisk microSDHC card. where do I put it?

Sandisk have their special port in your computer. Normally in the form of the plus and play ports. you just can't insert your Sandisk in a port with different size.

Locate in front of your desktop for an opening so you will be able to insert. Otherwise, maybe your computer does not have it and you need to secure a USB external Sandisk port approximately $8 or so. Fry's electronics is good at it. ask them!!

Try going to the BIOS by pressing F2 or delete key at boot time and see if there is a provision to detect the hardware.

When I connect my Pen drive to my laptop it asks for driver.

you turn the usb ports on thru the bios setup menu that you can enter as you boot up... actually tho you shouldn't have to do anything.... just plug in the usb device and your operating system should detect it for you.

Problem regarding the write protection of pendrive
