Question about Pioneer Audio Players & Recorders

Open Question

I have an older style Pioneer Stereo Hi-Fi set consisting of a Tuner/Synthesizer (F-X88Z) Double Cassette (DC-X88Z) CD Stacker (PD-Z83M) all contained in a cradle with a separate record turntable. The system needs a good overhaul as I am having problems with the remote control (volume control does not work) Cassette Decks ( probably require new drive belts) and the tuner volume control cuts in and out (high/low volume, from time to time). This can be rectified by turning on the light switch (would you believe?). I am disabled and need to contact an authorised repairer by telephone prior to taking the unit as it would be difficult for me to make mutiple trips to the repairers' workrooms. I have contacted Pioneer Australia who have given me the Bowen Hills address but they have been unable to put my call through to their Bowen Hills, Brisbane workshop. Is there anyone out there able to supply a telephone Number for the workshop or that of an alternative repairer. I live in Chapel Hill Brisbane and am most anxious to have the unit repaired as I rely on it greatly. Michael Bertram 07 3122 1040

SOURCE: Technics ST-X302L tuner - Unit not powering on

i have the same unit and a similar problem, after a fall of the tuner on the floor while i was cleaning my room, first times the st-x302l was powering fine but after some minuts it quit alone.. now (i dont know why) it remains on but if there is an interruption of electricity it dont turn on anymore, it turn on only by removing the metal chassis and moving random the electronics.. i think it has some electronic contact or circuit break.. i brought it to a specialist in electronics and he told me the reparation would be too expensive so i prefer to try fix it by myself.

SOURCE: kenwood stereo synthesizer tuner t-85l

T-85L is a component of a hifi system not suposed to work alone. You have to connect it to another Kenwood component (an amplifier like the A85 ) through a special cable to power it on/off. The special cable can be used point to point or as daisy-chained.

SOURCE: I own an AIWA Stereo Synthesizer Tuner which has a

Unfortunately without seeing the actual needle or cartridge, it is just about impossible to provide you with a part number. Where are you located? Needles are still available and I sell them all the time. I will try to locate the "standard" part number for your model, but there were often different setups available. Is there any way to provide a photo of the one you have now?

Check the balance of the tonearm as well. If there is not sufficient pressure on the needle, it won't track the record correctly either. Please note, the you shouldn't put too much pressure or you will wear the record.

Please keep us posted.

Thanks,
Dan

SOURCE: pioneer digital tuner Z92 not working year 1989,

It may just need an adjustment. Check for audio in mono mode. If you get audio, then it needs an adjustment of the IF can. If still no audio pioneer commonly used an LM7001 14pin (might be16pins) IC, that goes bad.

SOURCE: Hello, I have found a Sansui

Hi!

I have the same deck. Did it come with rammophone or are you using your own grammophone?
I have it with original grammophone and I don't need a remote control, I don't even have it. You just turn on your grammophone and it is automatic, just place the needle on record and it should switch and play automatically. That is if you have connected the wires right (two wires for sound, one for automation, all in the same area).

If you have separate grammophone, I am assuming you just need to place two wires into the separate phono channels and it should work. There is just no automatic detection, so you have to swithc to mono manually: There is a button on the right, beside Volume control "tape to CD" or something.

To play the tape, just simply push the play button on the bottom, should work, or you could try tape to cd button off and see if it detects automatically when tape is inserted.

Currently I have it taken apart and there is tape detection system apparent. Its quite automated reciever, which sucks, because all kinds of problems appear and it is difficult to fix.

On my Sansui, the tape player starts winding slowly when pressed play button. And the tape motor seems to be on always, even when the tape is not used, and the motor is really loud. --Need to find a solution to this problem. And I hate it switch to radio/FM every time the record stops. Plus the original grammophone doesn't work correctly, it is supposed to take off the needle when record reaches an end, but it just pushes the neelde to the holder... over the record..... "screeeeech".
