Hi, I solved the problem by hand lighting the burners and turning on the oven to help it dry out and it worked. It took two days to work again. Someone from the gas company told me to do that and also take a blow dryer and use that to help dry it out. Saved us repair charges. Yeah
Thank you for your time,
April

There is no clicking when you turn on the gas on a burner - plugged in - gas flowing.

Hi

Clicking sound comes from the gas burner comes from the spark module. To check this remove the burner knobs and then clean the ignition switches. Dry them by blowing air and then check. If still not working then you’ll need to get the ignition switch replaced. However, if the ignition switches (costs around $10-30) looks fine then there might be an issue with the spark module (would cost between $25 - $60).

Hope this helps you to resolve the issue.

Thanks
Daniel

I have a 30" stainless steel cand black gas range with electronic oven control and self ignited burners. For some reason the burners won't self ignite they don't even spark but the gas is comin out. What...

Electric gas igniters sometimes get stuck in one position causing a clicking sound. The clicking sound that you hear is the electric arc that is pulsing from the igniter conductor (wire) to ground (the gas burner). It receives power from the electrical outlet that the stove is plugged into.
Residue from food and sometimes cleaning products may be preventing the igniter from producing a spark (Arc) to the base of the burner. This is a common problem that occurs when the stove has been cleaned or food is allowed to build up. Make sure that the igniter and the burner base are clean and dry. This will help with proper operation. Oven cleaner and a small tooth brush may be used to accomplish this. Another problem with ignition may occur if you have too little (touching) or too much space between the igniter and the base of the burner; it will prevent the burner from igniting. You should only have a little more space than the thickness of a nickel between the burner base and the igniter. A good “blue” arc from the igniter to the burner base is optimal. If this doesn’t work, you may need to replace the electric igniter module. Good luck.

How do you dry out the stove ignitors? They have

You do this at your own risk, but try holding a lighter flame next to the igniter gap close to the burner and light the burner manually when the igniter clicks. The heat will dry them out.

Igniter clicks, but gas will not flow.

if you don't smell gas (rotten eggs/sulphur), the gas is off or clogged. there are little pin-hole spouts for the gas to come out before it gets to the burner, and they get clogged easily by falling food/liquid. you have to take the stovetop off to get to them.

Kitchenaid gas stove left back burner won't light. hear clicking

I have one of the kitchenaide gas ranges and if the burner cap is not set on PERFECTLY straight, the gas doesn't flow properly and will not ignite. Try lifting and replacing the cap back down on the burner and see if this solves it.
