Question about ASUS P5P800S Motherboard

Asus p5p800s hi there! i got a problem with my motherboard,it an asus P5P800S, it used to work normally until 1 day i opened it, my screen/monitor got blank. when i turned on my cpu, the motherboard has its power, the cooling fan is working, the cpu fan is working, but it seems the hard drive is dead, even my cd drives has no power.. i used to reset my cmos thinking the problem was only there, but it didnt workout.. i try to install a spare motherboard, using all same parts and it works normally, thats why i assumed the problem was only with my asus motherboard... by the way, i had only used it for at almost 2 years.. Please help!!!!.. i badly need this... thanks in advance...

Try to back bone your system unit maybe the problem is there have a grounded your motherboard into your casing...

Hi, i think the problem is overheat on the chipset. So, makes the chipset to demaged.

Try to change power supply. That's the problem not motherboard.

It could be that you have a damaged power supply which took out your motherboard. When turning it on, what beeps did it make?

Try to remove the bios-battery and wait 2-3 minutes and then put the battery back and power upp the system again to see if that has any effect.

There is no onboard video for that board model. You need to install an AGP video card and get the drivers for it.

Everytime i switch on my pc asusp5p800s i need to press f1, and there's displayed ucode loading error until the other day my monitor display become blured, any body can help?


The problem is that your motherboard BIOS is too old and doesn't properly recognize the CPU, even though they are compatible. You need to update the BIOS.

Asus mother board sound driver


Go to the Asus website, www.asus.com. Click on the support link. Lookup your specific board model # and select the operating system you are running. A list of all available files will appear. Scroll down until you find the sound driver. Click on it and download and install. Follow the onscreen instructions and you should be all set. Hope this helps.

Go to Asus Download Support

Enter your model number in the box in the upper left and click on Search Info.

On the next page your model will appear. Click on the model number link.

A window will open to select your operating system. Select and click Search and a list of available downloads will come up.

In the back of the computer where all the computer wires are , there is a pink circular jack , you can plug your microphone into that......
