I cannot locate the owners manual for my Coleman PowerMate 6250 generator 10 hp? Any place I can find this online quickly thank you

Most PowerMate manuals are available here: . However, describing it as the PowerMate 6250 10 HP generator is insufficient to find the correct manual. The Coleman PowerMate line has several models with 10 HP engines and a 6250 Starting Watt (5000 W running) capacity.

These include the Powermate PM0435005; the direct link for this manual is .

Please add a comment with the actual model number of your generator if you need further assistance with finding the correct manual for your generator.

I hope this helps.

I have a Coleman Powermate 6250. Runs Great, No power to outlets!

Excite the genset.

with the gen engine running,
1) plug a 3/8 drill into an outlet,
(make sure the drill is set to the forward rotation)
2) hold the trigger in the run position
3) by hand, rotate the drill chuck with a quick flip of your wrist.
*** NOTE: BE PREPARED !!! this will excite the gen-set and the drill will start to run as normal.

Engine works but no power is produced

I have a COLEMAN 6250 Watt Powermate too, and it stopped producing 3 hrs into our blackout. I unbolted the four 7/16" bolts holding the end bell assembly, and looked at the circuit board (bridge rectifier assembly) and saw that 4 of the diodes had melted free from the circuit board. This is a $30 replacement part, and seems to be a common problem with these units.
Other common and cheap to fix problems may be the brushes are worn out. Unscrew the phillips screws under the plastic tab on the end bell of the generator, and pull out the metallic rectangular posts attached to the copper wires. If they are shorter than 1/4", broken, or uneven, they may need to be replaced. They are about $3 each.
I probably drew too much power from 1 outlet on the generator, and it caused the board to fail instead of tripping the circuit breaker. (BTW, the repair shop told me it would cost $550 to replace the entire rotor/stator circuit board assembly. I have a strong feeling they didn't even look at any of the above parts, because they didn't have a clue as to what they were doing!)

I liken this to taking your car in because it won't start, and the mechanic saying you need a new engine!

Good luck!

How many gal tank is the Powermate 6250 10 KW

Nearly all of the Powermates have the same 5 gallon fuel tank.
I'm a little confused, the Powermate 6250s are all 5Kw generators with 6250 watt surge ratings. Is yours really a 10Kw or did I misunderstand which generator you have?
