Since you did not specify the exact model of your cellphone then i'll just have to give you a general answer on this. You'll need to search on the internet the exact model of your phone and look for a detailed specification list. You'll need to look for the compatible audio files that your phone can actually support as a ring tone. It seems like the file format of the audio file is not supported by the cellphone.

Check first the amount of memory available on phone & memory card. Transfer phone files (photos, songs) to memory card. Delete unnecessary files including messages from the cellphone. Transfer your camera photos to another media or PC. If you have many songs that you play directly, make playlists & play from there. Upgrade your software through internet from manufacturer's website. If doing all these things do not work, then your cellphone needs repairs especially phone memory.

Ringtones

The phone will only play ringtones applied to its memory. You need to move the tone from the SD card to the phone. First check your user manual for ringtone specifications. It should tell you how big a file you can use.You may have to edit the song to fit.

Copying to phone

Normally, you cannot set complete songs as a ringtone. go to LG's website and check the manual. Full songs are generally too long to be used as ringtones.

Copying music to phone, (from SD card)

Thats right.. some cellphones have this limitation where you cannot set your phone ringtone selecting songs from memory card. You have to copy it to phone memory and then only, your ringtone will set. I know this is very much frustating, but my suggesion is go for phone where this problem doesnt exists.

Cannot play this sound appears

Hi Asbn!!!

Sounds like u have an musicfile problem.
There r some music files that cant work on Cellphones.
One or too easy ways of fixing this is....try to erase the sound from the Phone and memorystick and install it again. That could work but if not, try to fix a new version av that song and install it.
Last solution is....if none of the Above works....try asking in a
Cellphone shop!!

Good Luck :-)
