Question about Microsoft Wireless Network Adapter Xbox 360 (SKWIFIX360)
ok this is the problem. My wireless adapter is not passing the IP test, but i noticed that if i removed the WEP security key from my router the adapter connects fine. so to resume this and make it clear
WEP-NOT ENABLE= wireless adpater gets IP from router
WEP- ENABLE=wireless adpater does not get IP from router
FYI- DHCP is enable on both scenarios
i had the same problem buddy. The problem might be that you hacve another system on the wireless network that uses that same IP address. This can cause a conflict that will prevent the xbox from logging on. Try deactivating other systems on the network to see if thats the problem

it has to be the adapter when i plug in my friends working one it works just fine... i have now gone thru two of them and both of them show a steady red light and my xbox 360 says there is no wireless mode.... when pluging them in to my laptop it says they their info and everything so there shouldn't be anything wrong with them

you need to assign a static ip address to each inside your router they are more than likely using the same ip address
