Hi, I replaced the flyback, but still won't power up. It made a noise, like a little squeak when I tried to turn it on. Still flashes 9 times, then once. However, when the power is turned on, the power button remains green (just doesn't turn on). Is it possible there is a transistor/fuse that needs replaced? Or do I need to take it back out and resolder it?

Re: still won't turn on
Try to see if the Horizontal output transistor is shorted to ground by checking the resistance value to ground. Also check the Switching power supply Power MOSFET . These are two possible causes for your problem.
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.

The ticking sound is almost always caused by the Flyback and Hot transistor. It could be other items also located on the deflection board but flyback is most likliest. You can get a replacement flyback and Hot tarnsistor from www.tvrepairworld.com
The PS50700 uses the 195 series chassis. The most common cause of the set not starting up is a shorted flyback (high voltage) transformer. Sometimes a shorted flyback will also cause the horizontal output transistor to short too. These parts need to be tested and/or replaced by a tech familiar with the RCA 195 chassis.
If you replaced the FL231 without replaceing the DL231 it will usually work for a little while then fail. However if the sound youre hearing now is a short sharp chirp which coincides with the power indicator its often caused by a failed flyback and HOT Transistor, if the sound sounds like a soft psssst three times then DL030 and DL032 all items are on the Deflection/power board.
It very well could be the pawer steering pump. But to isolate the squeking sound, take that can of wd-40 and find the idler pully and tensior pully. Spray the bearing area of both pulleys. If your bearing in those pulleys are going bad then it will make that noise. If the wd-40 quits the noise at one of those tow pulleys then you know which one to replace. If its does not, then start looking to replace the powersteering pump. I take it you have checked the power steering fluid levels and they are ok?? Also, you stated that the noise started after you bought the alternator, then try a new alternator. It might of just been a faulty alternator. Happens all the time. One last inexpensive tip is replacing all belts with new. Belts get glazed over and dirty and cause noise too. One last question. Did you make sure the belts were tight enough? Just a little variance in the belt tension can make the difference.
there are 2 drum rollers at the back of the dryer. shut off power, pull drum and you will see 2 rubber wheels. there is a little plastis triangle that keeps the roller in place. try spinning the rollers . they probably will not spin too freely. remove triangles ,inspect inside of roller the stainless steel bearing may have gunk on it try to clean off . also check shaft roller rides likewise remove any debri use a little rubbing alcohol to remove gunk. also check the idler roller that routes the belt for the same things. good luck
my d52w19 chassis itc222 as posted most of the time wont turn on and the green light flashes three times every time it makes a small noise. sometimes it does turn on and you hear a little pop and the tv fires up. latley there is a really high pitch noise that will slightly change pitch if you move the tv or put slight pressure on the top or botttom rear part of the chassis. thanks for the help as I have seen that this has been posted before without mention of the high pitch noise.
Sounds like the flyback is bad you can get a new flyback number 259296 at the following link and they provide free tech support so you can install it yourself. heres the link. http://servicemanuals.vstore.ca/
hi....maybe theres a problem with your high voltage(flyback)section.or maybe there are still moist inside your tv...try to open it(if you can) and use your hair dryer to dry it....if noise still present after you done it....call the serviceman
