I don't think you can remove the battery, if you can remove it and keep it out for 1 minute

I am guessing that your phone probably shut itself down to prevent data loss. When was the last time you shut it off by holding the top power button until it says slide to power off and then powering it off? I may be wrong in this but,... Okay, so have the phone unplugged and I want you to press and hold both buttons at the same time, the Top Power and the Home Screen Button and just continue to hold them, sometimes even for like a minute but I'm guessing within like 30 seconds or so the Apple logo will appear then you can release the buttons. If this does work you can prevent this from happening again by power cycling your phone on a daily basis or at least every other day. :-) I hope it helps good luck.

Is there a way I can charge my iphone when my home button and charger won't work?

Try taking it in to an apple store. Given the age of the phone, there may not be anything they can do to assist. Unfortunately, unless you try your luck with a third-party phone repair company, you will need to find a new phone.

My iphone won't turn on. It is not charging nor is it being recognised by my computer. I did not drop it. Last thing I did was end a call. Please help

My iphone 4 was also dead a few minutes and the solution was to connect the fone to computer and then press home button and on/off button for about 10-12 secs and the apple logo appeared and it came back to life, you can try that and I hope it will also work for you. Enjoy!!

What to do when iphone doesn't turn on

If it won't turn on. Meaning it doesn't turn on turn on. The phone is dead and gone.
If the phone turns on but sticks at the apple logo, that means it needs a restore/update.
If the phone turns on and stick at the usb/apple logos. That means it needs to be restored.

To restore or update. You need to use itunes. If the phone is bricked and dead, dead... Then you need to get a new phone

I dropped my iphone 3g and cracked the screen....I replaced the screen and now the bottom half won't work...it says slide to unlock...and it won't slide...but the top that says slide to turn off...

Check the 2 pins connected on the home button if touch the interface of the board, might not hitting that is why the slide unlock not working.

Iphone 3 went totally dead. I hooked it up to the wall charger for an hour, and it still won't even turn on.

This can happen sometimes with a lot of smartphones when the battery is completely empty. This is usually solved by letting the phone charge for a whole 24h. I hope this works for you!
Good luck! And please, if you do find this answer helpful give it thumbs up :)
