Hi somecraic, some webcam are plug and play and comes with driver, just plug the usb connector to your pc usb port and your pc start to install new found hardware, and when the installation wizard window come out, and when it ask for the driver, insert driver, just follow the instruction. And when its done, open your skype, click the video and its done.

Otherwise, best thing to do is check your manufacturers website for FAQs.

Before you can use your webcam in any chat program you have to configure it to that program

Test your webcam here to make sure it broadcasts ok - Hit 'Allow' in the top window and check your cam in the left hand panel.

Not working ? - troubleshoot your drivers and software - get your cam working before moving on

Working OK ?

CONFIGURE TO SKYPE

Its good practice to disconnect and re-connect your webcam before you start (To reboot the webcam software) - if you have been using it elsewhere the SKYPE software may have difficulty in locating it, even if you exited the previous program correctly.
The reason being, the webcam software can remain hooked-up to a program and needs to be rebooted.
Mine, I just unplug it from the USB and plug it back in to reboot the software.
If yours is integral with the computer you will have to re-start the computer, use a keyboard shortcut or disable / enable the webcam from the Device Manager.

Start Skype.
On the 'Tools' menu, click 'Options'.
In the navigation pane of the Skype 'Options' window, click 'Audio Settings'
Run down the list setting your defaults
Select your webcam as the default microphone.
Make a free test call
Click 'Save'
In the navigation pane of the Skype Options window, click Video Settings.
This will launch your webcam
Adjust quality of picture in 'Settings'
Check the correct webcam is shown as default
Click Save
Test your webcam by making a Skype test call.

How can i connect my web cam on skype when I have incoming video call

You need to configure Skype with the model WEBcam and mic.
Sometimes the WEBcam settings drop off and the WEBcam need to be selected again. Open Skype - Tools - Options - Video Settings and select the WEBcam. Also check the Audio Settings for the Microphone THEN click on Save.
Avoid connecting the WEBcam to an USB hub.

I am not a computer person.I was wondering if logitech webcam C250h will work with skype?

Yes, I have a Logitech WEBcam (not the same model) and I use Skype.
After you installed Skype then :-
To test if the Logitech QuickCam is functioning, check the USB cable; make sure it is connected properly. Then click on Start - All Program - Logitech - Logitech QuickCam and see if you can get the camera to capture your image/video.
If this works then the fault is with the Skype configuration. Sometimes the WEBcam settings drop off and the WEBcam need to be selected again. Open Skype - Tools - Options - Video Settings and select the Logitech QuickCam
Also check the Audio Settings for the Microphone THEN click on Save.
Avoid connecting the WEBcam to an USB hub.
