This will depend on what computer software you wish to create.

You need to first clarify what you want your program to do.

If you want to write Windows software, you'll need to pick up something like Microsoft Visual Studio 2000/2005/2008. If you're a student, many colleges offer this at a huge discount.  If you want to write software for mac, you'll need to get a copy of XCode from your Mac install disk 1.  If you want to write software for Linux, it's already included.  -------- In any of the above cases, you'll need to learn a programming language like c++, Java or Python. Beginner frequently start with C++, as do many college computer science curriculums. Either way, get a book on your programming language from your local library.

If you look at the curriculum for any college's Computer Science department, you'll see that they always start off with either C++ or Java. I recommend starting with either you'd like. But asking which programming language to start with is kind of like asking if they prefer coke or pepsi. It's highly dependent on a number of factors including which operating system you'd like it to run on, as well as if you'd like it to interface with any external hardware.

Long story short, start with c++. But you've got a big learning curve in writing full production quality software.

How to Create a Wi Fi Network With Just a Computer?

Does your computer support wifi?
If it does, you can create a network through softAP. You need to write some lines of code to activate softAP. The work around is to download a free software called 'iball soft AP manager' (link is http://iball-soft-ap-manager.software.informer.com/download/). You may (or may be not) have to download the driver software for your wifi card as well.

HP System Software Manager

The HP Remote Support Software Manager is an application installed on HP desktops and laptops, that enables Remote Assistance on the computer for HP personnel access. This Remote Support client allows a technical support representative from HP to see and control your computer to assist you with making changes on the machine. The HP Remote Support Software Manager may be safely uninstalled from the computer. Uninstalling this application will not affect any other functions and features. However, you should create a Restore Point prior to uninstalling any software just in case problems arise with the changes. Create Restore Point in System Restore Click the Windows "Start" button and then right-click on the "Computer" entry. Click "Properties" from the context menu. Click the "System Protection" link in the left navigation pane. Click the tab labeled "System Protection" and then click the "Create" button. The Create button label indicates that this action will create a System Restore Point now. Type a description for the manually created Restore Point and click "Create." The System Restore Point is manually created. Uninstall HP Remote Support Software Manager Click the Windows "Start" button and select "Control Panel." Click the "Programs" link in the Control Panel. Click "Programs and Features." The list of installed programs will appear. Locate the HP Remote Support Software Manager in the list and click the entry. Click the "Uninstall" button on the top navigation bar. Type the "Administrator" password, if prompted, and click "Continue." The program is uninstalled from the computer and the entry disappears from the Programs list.

I have purchased a new computer. Can I keep the files that I have saved on my passport from the old computer and set up a separate space for the files on the new computer?

Of course you can, you can either create a folder in your documents folder (or wherever you want) and copy the files over.
Or you can create a new partition on your hard drive, just for those files.
If you have windows 7, you can create a new partition without using any software, its built into windows. Here is a guide
http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/2674-partition-volume-create-new.html
If you dont have windows 7, you can use a FREE partition software program, try this http://download.cnet.com/Easeus-Partition-Master-Home-Edition/3000-2248_4-10863346.html
