The park ave wiring is really easy to screw up when you install an after market radio,
i would have the radio taken out and disconnected and then see if the car goes forwards
also check all of your fuses in the 2 fuse boxes under the hood and the one under the dash and see if he blew any when installing the radio

My truck is not charging i put brand new battery & alternator on it when i turn it of i need to boost it back up

You need to jump start it next day , is that what your trying to say ? When you turn it off you need to boost - jump start same thing when next day ? It's not your battery or alternator , you have a parasitic draw ! Something it draining your battery , a light is on a control module is not powering down ! You need to hook up a amp meter between the battery negative cable an post to see how much draw is happening ! Then you pull fuse's till the draw goes away ! parasitic draw test Bing Videos

Wont start without a boost

After trying to read this a couple times to get the gist, I would definitely have the battery tested for it's cold-cranking amps. Regular voltage and power can register normal, but the cold-cranking amps are what matter when starting the car. Also, if there is any problem with your alternator, it can be draining your battery of the juice it needs. After testing the alternator, check for any belts that may be too tight, causing the starter to have to work harder than it should when cranking over to start the car.

1996 chevrolet cavalier would not start but started with a boost and ran fine till i shut it off then would not start again unless i boosted it but the problem worsened it started shutting down on the road...

you surely need a new battery. a car may crank but will not start due to low battery voltage. My suspect is that the battery may have enough ampere to crank the motor but the voltage is too low to run the electronic system. if you have a meter, check the voltage as you crank the car. This is a possiblility but it is a rare occurence.

I just bought 2000 buick lesabre new battery woke up the next day it would not start.

could be that you left something on and battery drained itself.have you tryed boosting it off? thats where i would start. when you put the booster cables on,leave the car running that you're getting the boost from. let it run 10minutes and then try starting your car.when it starts let it run 15minutes before you shut it off or attempt to drive it.that will allow time for your battery charge up.after that you can shut it off if you choose to. when you do turn the car off, look for a light that might have been left on,or a tail light staying on,or a brake light thats staaying on.the best way to look for a light is in the dark.suggest that you try this, then if it won't start the next day,may have bought a bad battery.suggest that you have it checked if a no start again.good luck and thank you for choosing fixya.com

It may be the old ford problem of a shorted starter, an internal starter problem will drain your battery over night. Or check for lights on inside the car, also glove compartment lights or under the hood lights.

Need to boost, last time I boosted it locked up and wouldn't start because it thought it was being stollen. I had to tow it to a mechanic to have it reset. It wouldn't start today (-20 outside) How do I...

I believe that the car is acually reacting to the fact that the battery is dead. I have a post up to be careful of disconnecting the battery in these cars. The fact is, that when the ECM (EngineControlModule), the TCM (Transmission) , and the radio loose the power it needs to keep its codes in its memory. It shuts down. The radio just needs a 4 digit code, but the car's computer needs to be reset by a dealer scan tool.
Your battery needs to be on a trickle charger, it sounds like. Make sure that you alternator is doing it job by measuring the voltage, which should be above 12v-14v when running.
Also, check the connection at the battery terminals for corrosion, and clean with baking soda & water mix to neutralize the acid.
There is a device called a memory saver (auxillary Input Voltage Device). It plugs into you cigar lighter. This allows battery disconnection without the problems.
P.S. I think you mean JUMP Start....not boost.
