Question about Texas Instruments TI-83 Plus Calculator
I press the blue y= button and nothing happens the screen goes blank. I really need this function to get by in class, I have to press 2nd(Yellow) to shut it of and then press on to turn it back on something is wrong. Please help.
My guess is that you on have your axes turned off and two that your window is not showing your graph cause it is out of range. You don't need to turn off you calculator. If you can just press clear you should return to the homescreen. So to fix this go to window and put the values as X min:-10 X max:10 ymin:-10 and Ymax:10 then go to 2nd format and turn on x and y axises. and graphing something simple like just y=2 to see if it appears.
