Question about U-Line 15R Compact Refrigerator

1 Answer

Cold Control I was told that the cold control replacement part for the Model 15R was discontinued. I ordered the new one and it has the electrical terminals on the side and not on the back. Problem is that it won't fit against metal guard. Solution?

Find another spot to mount it or turn it wide open and tape it off.

There is a control on refrigerator that controls the amount of cold air that is directed from freezer to refrigerator section. Locate that control and lower the amount of cold air going into refrig.

Frigidaire oven

Yes, that sounds like a relay on the oven control board. Here is the part to order that has a 365 day, any part, any reason return policy so you may want to order from them.

The light is on, but the compressor is not operating.

NOTE: This
is a multi-solution answer since I don't have all the tech from your question to pinpoint your problem
But the solution is in here generically, if you read and study the solutions very, very carefully.

Sounds like the cold control has stuck . Unplug the two wires from the cold control and plug them together. Turn one wire over and plug it into the other. away from the cold control.
The cold control is the knob in the ref that turns it on and off and has numbers on it. (Thermostat)
If it runs then that cold control (Thernostat) is the problem.
If that doesn't work DO THIS:
The relay on the compressor may need replaced
A relay starts the compressor with a higher voltage and then quickly kicks out
Thats what is happening with yours
Its best for a tech to replace The relay but you can do it
Take your model number to your Local Appliance parts store they will have a diagram
showing you how to install the relay. Its called a hard start relay
also try hooking the two wires together on the cold control to route around the cold control.
Be sure the BACK COVER is in place and hasnt been accidently removed.

Pluged in not running

most of the time these are either stuck in defrost or cold control is bad and sometimes the overload on compressor is bad...the relay can be bad or even the compressor.....BUT, check cold control and see if its stuck in defrost..no model given , but locate defrost timer...if a manual type..you can advance it out of defrost. if it comes back on..order new timer...if not it..remove cold control and make bypass on terminals to see if it comes on.., is , order new cold control,,...UNPLUG before doing anything

F-2 and F-3 codes keep blinking and ther is a loud beeping sound ,usually when oven is heating up and after oven is heated up and when oven is cooling. occasionaly it happens on a cold oven thanks

Hi, F2 and F3 means Open oven temperature sensor (circuit) (over 2700 ohms) or, shorted oven temperature sensor. Could be a result of:
· contamination on terminals
· pinched wire in oven temperature sensor circuit
· cold solder joint on control. · Disconnect power to range and remove oven temperature sensor connector from control.
· Measure oven temperature sensor resistance at oven temperature sensor connector (take care not to damage terminals in block) - Should read 1100 ohms at room temperature (approx 72 degrees F).
· Measure each oven temperature sensor lead from connector block to ground. If shorted, look for pinched or cut wire in oven temperature sensor circuit.
· Check connector terminals - Look for deformed or corrosion on terminals. Repair or replace.
If all above is ok replace control.

How to troubleshoot the electrical air conditioning system 2000 GMC Yukon Denali. I put in new resistor, relay and dealer blower motor and it still doesn't do anything. Air conditioning control switch...

The compressor on the air conditioner in my 2000 GMC Yukon XL went out last summer. Had it and the whole line replaced at a local air conditioning shop last fall. Used it little before cold weather. Warm weather this spring and no cold air. We could hear the compressor trying to kick in. The shop told us that the control console was bad and had to be replaced. They told us the part was on back order and did not know if they would be abel to get one any time soon. We took the Yukon into the local GM dealership. They told us that the high side fitting was bad and that the freon was very low and that they would have to deal with that first to check the system. Called back to the air conditioning shop and they said they had a console come in and they would put it in and check the high side fitting. I now have cold air and questions. Bought Yukon in 2005 used, had always had problem of not switching to cold air once the heater has been used. We were told changing the console should fix that. It has not changed. I feel like the console angle was a scam, that the system was just low on freon. Each shop was blaming the other for trying to scam me. And what can fix the heat to cold issue? If anyone has answers I would sure appreciate the knowledge.
