D4 LIGHT WAS FLASHING...SO I TOOK MY 93 HONDA ACCORD TO THE DEALER. THEY PERFORMED A MULTI-POINT INSPECTION AND FINALLY REPLACED THE TRANSMISSION CONTROL UNIT, DID A COMPLETE FUEL SYSTEM SERVICE AND REPLACED BOTH FRONT CV AXLES. WHILE DRIVING HOME, LOOKED DOWN AT THE SPEEDODOMETER AND REALIZED IT (NOR THE RPM INDICATOR) WAS NOT WORKING. CAN YOU OFFER ME ANY SOLUTION (if it is free of charge).

When our speedometer and odometer went out it in our 94 honda accord it was due to our vehicle speed sensor being bad... once we replaced it with a new one, everything worked fine. I'm not sure about the rpm indicator though because that wasn't affected in ours... I hope this helps

The S (sports mode) light keeps flashing on and off and my transmission feels like it is dragging. We have disconnected the battery cables to no avail.

The flashing S light is the transmission control unit telling you there is an issue somewhere. Click here to diagnose the problem. That post is for 92-93 accords where the D4 light is for TCU errors, but diagnosing is the same. Just replace every instance of "D4 light" with "S light".

The sports light on the dash will not go off, causing the transmission not shift, what causing that.

If you mean the S light is flashing, then your transmission control unit is telling you there is a problem somewhere. Click here to learn how to diagnose the problem. That link is for 92-93 accords where the D4 light indicates TCU errors, so just replace every instance of "D4 light" with "S light".

1991 honda accord wagon...the S keeps flashing off and on seems to jump between sport mode and standard...what could this be?

This is your transmission control unit telling you there is a problem. I have another post here (http://www.fixya.com/cars/t5554380-92_honda_accord_d4_light_flashing) with details on how to diagnose. This link says "flashing D4 light" but the issues it the same. 90-91 accords have flashing S lights for TCU errors, and 92-93 have flashing D4 lights.

2000 accord ex w/ 4 cylinder engine. The light around the D4 (indicating gear) flashes and the car accelerates very slowly in cold weather until the engine gets warm. What is wrong? How to fix?''

The D4 indicator light flashing indicates that your car's computer believes that there is something wrong with your transmission.

This is what the manual for your 2000 Accord says:

The "D4" indicator comes on for a few seconds when you turn the ignition switch ON (II). If it flashes while driving (in any shift position), it indicates a possible problem in the transmission. Avoid rapid acceleration and have the transmission checked by an authorized Honda dealer as soon as possible.

Sometimes this will mean that you are simply low on transmission fluid, but you really should have it checked.

Hope this helps you.

I HAVE A HONDA ACCORD 2005 THE D4 LIGHR BLINKS N GEAR JERKS

It sounds like you have one of a couple problems. First, for the D4 light to be on and flashing, there is a problem the TCM (transmission control module) is seeing. If this is a V6, these transmissions are notorious for having problems internally, and need to be rebuilt at a transmission shop, or replaced. There is also a chance that either the third or fourth gear pressure switches have gone bad they will be the black and brown switches bolted to the top of the transmission. These can also cause this light flashing to occur. I dont understand the rest of your post. If you could clarify what you mean i could try to answer you question a little better

92 honda accord lx D4 flashes

you have a transmission fault the D4 light blinks to tell you that there is a transmission problem when the light is blinking the transmission computer put the transmission into limp home mode so it will not shift normally and you should try not to drive it very far when it gets to this stage you need to have the transmission codes check to pin point the problem
