If the printing is too light, it is the printing quality issue. Just goto Printing Preferences>Quality/Copies tab, select the Quality/Speed to Normal or Photo, and the Paper Type to Plain or Photo, then it may help your problem.

Put brand new lexmark 28 cartridge just 4 days ago. Maybe used 10 times. Computer says ink is low and won't print anymore. However, can still make copies.

It could be just a slight communication failure between your cartridges and the printer. Try to re-seat the cartridges by removing and re-inserting them into the cartridge carrier.
I hope this helps.

Replaced the ink cartridge and it is not printing

Try to check your ink levels. On your computer, go to Start menu > Programs > Lexmark 2500 Series folder > Lexmark Solution Center. If ink levels are substantial for printing, go to the Maintenance tab and select Clean to fix horizontal streaks. It could be due to clogs and dirt in the cartridge nozzles caused by long periods of non-usage.
If the light continues to flash for both cartridges, try to replace both cartridges with different known working cartridges or better yet, replace them with new genuine Lexmark supplies.

Will not load paper, when it does it prints for ****.how do you check ink cartriges

Try to remove the sheets of paper from the feeder. Open the printer cover and remove the cartridges. Close the printer cover. Unplug and replug the printer into the power outlet in the wall to reset it. When the printer turns on, reinsert the cartridges. Load some paper and try to print again.

To check the ink levels using your computer, Click Start menu > Programs or All Programs > Lexmark 2500 Series > select Lexmark Solution Center. In the main dialog screen, the ink levels are displayed.

I recently replaced my ink cartridges for my Lexmark X2500 with brand new ones, Lexmark brand, I inserted them and followed instructions and now it still tells me that it can not print that I need new...

  • Open up the "Printer Solution Center." If there is no icon on your desktop for your Lexmark printer, click on the "Start" menu button, which is located at the bottom left-hand corner of the screen. Click on "All Programs," and then look for "Lexmark." Select the "Printer Solution Center.

Choose "Install a new printer cartridge" under the "Maintenance" tab.

  • Click on "Next" until you see the "Print the Alignment page" option, then choose "Print."

  • Repeat steps 1,2 and 3 if the ink level gauge still isn't showing sufficient ink.
