Most in car dvd players require a connection to the parking brake so it will not play a dvd while you are driving (in dash only). The easiest way around it is to run a 12v wire to the lead of the parking brake wire on the dvd player. With a constant 12v it should play when the ignition is in the on position.

How can i play dvds while driving is there a way to re wire the rear unit to allow it

I'll start off by saying what you already know: it's dangerous and illegal to have in-dash DVD playing while driving...

With that being said, is there a parking break wire connected to your stereo? If so, connect that wire directly to ground and it should work great.

DVD player playing while driving

It's not that difficult. Get a two position toggle switch and run the wire that normally goes to the brake, into one end of the toggle. Then run a wire from the other end of the toggle to a ground. Whenever the message comes up on the screen about viewing while driving, flip the toggle switch on then off and it will bypass the safety feature. That's how I did mine and two other buddies of mine.

Blue screen will not go away

The problem is that you're trying to bypass a safety feature. Newer video head units are smart enough to know when you've just grounded the brake switch wire so you can watch it while you're driving. Try hooking it up to your parking brake wire.
