Question about HP Pavilion dv8000t Notebook
There is a class action lawsuit currently being initiated against HP for this issue. The Complaint alleges that HP misrepresented and concealed material facts regarding certain laptops including a design defect, which causes the power jacks of the laptops to fail.

I had a similar problem. something that is really good to do is to purchase recovery disks. they are affordable. they range from 9- 20 dollars. you can just call hp and order it over the phone or online all you have to do is to load the cd and you are good to go. one thing though you will loose your data that was saved on your computer, but it will surely help
