i have just moved my toshiba 40wh8ob from one house 2 another when i turned it back on i have purple and green shadows could anyone please tell me if ive done serious damaGE LAYING IT DOWN ??????

I delivered a projo(I do the same thing like you do)and I have no problem whatsoever. Make sure no unprotected speakers near the projo.

If this is a rear projection TV then yes, if you lay it down the coolant oil leaks from an expansion hole and you now have a mess. An ordinary cathode ray tube type unless you were very rough should be OK and you have a degauss fault, but I think its projection and you got to get it fixed. Dont put this off, if its an oil leak the sooner you get that seen to the better.
