There is a seller on e-bay who manufactures the gears for the models 17, 18 and 19 in small quantities. He just posted more of them on e-bay as of 1/11/13 and his seller name is valens61. The cost is $12.50 with free shipping.

I have a Westcott iPoint evolution pencil sharpener. How do I open it to empty it.

Hi there,

If you look at the top of the sharpener there is a small 1/4" cylinder , that will twist off, then the unti can be emptied. The hole clear part does not twist, just the "cap" on the top.

Please let me know if this helps, by rating the solution.

Thank you !

I cannot figure out how to empty the pencil shavings from a panasonic KP-350

You put your fingers around the edges of the black "wheel" in the front, get a good grip, then pull toward you. What you've pulled out is the shavings tray. I'm not mechanical at all; it took me a while to figure this out. The first time you try, it takes some effort.
