Question about ASUS MyPal A626
I can not get my Asus A626 to recognize my computer anymore via Active Sync. It was working fine until I received an error on my pda that states...C:\Program Files\Microsoft Visual Basic Studio 8\VC\CE\atlmfc\include\afxtempl.h [line 380]. It states on the error screen that it is a visual C++ Debug Assertion Error.
Furthermore i can connect other pda's to my computer just not this one. I have reset and done a shut-down on the asus to see if that works as well as reseting my computer. Still nothing works

SOURCE: Asus A626 keeps cutting off
I had a problem similar to this, and I used YOUR solution to fix it. In fact looking for you to thank you for the idea is how I found this problem.
Sometimes even with the battery cover on and intact, the sensor does not correctly detect it. My screen was turning off randomly and sometimes would not even get through the Asus init before it would turn off again.
So, looking at the solution you posted I pushed a small wad of Kleenex in the hole and then put the cover back on. It's been running fine for almost a day now.
So, thanks for the suggestion. I had no idea that sensor was there.

May God help you because in my experience with a malfunctioning A626 ASUS won't lift a finger to help you. They are great at lip service like a lot of companies nowadays but short on customer service.
Did you get the Microsoft Mobile Device Center yet? I cannot get the Clarification Request radio button to function on this Web site so I'm asking about the Mobile Device Center because I have a few questions and suggestions which I can offer if you are still around.
There is no date on the posts in this FixYa place so maybe its a dead end.
