If you already replace the bettery and camera is still not turning on, so the problem here is not with the battery, try to connect your camera to your computer via USB for about an hour and check if the camera will even get a power on it.. if not better take it to a repair center near you and have it check...

Hope that helps............

If you have done so and you know the battery has a charge then it is a dead set. If it is under warranty have it replaced. if not underwarranty you can have it repaired or you can repair it yourself if you are familiar with opening up cameras.

Battery replace

Your camera has a build in Lithium ion battery. The manual says, when the battery has reached the end of life, please contact your dealer where you bought thee camera. After more then 10 years, it could be possible you don't know where you bought the camera or the dealer not longer exists. I also think, you can buy a new camera, from much better quality, for less money, you should have to spend if someone should open the camera and place a new battery.
For less then $100, you now can buy a camera with real zoom, more then 10 Mega pixel sensor and a replaceable rechargeable battery.

My wife is complaining that every time she turns off/on the camera she has to reset the data/time. I understand that when the batteries are changed the settings may be lost, but not simply when the camera...

Sounds to me that there may be another battery inside the camera that is going bad.

Issue: Everytime I power on the camera the Date / Time needs to be set.
Solution: Replacing the Date Battery for the PowerShot A480.

Replacing the Date Battery. If the Date/Time menu appears when the camera power is turned on, the date battery charge is low and the date and time settings have been lost. Please purchase a lithium coin battery (CR1220) and replace it as follows.
Please note that the first date battery may appear to expire relatively quickly after you purchase the camera. This is because it is installed in the camera at the point of manufacture, not when you make the purchase. caution.gifBe particularly careful to keep the date batteries out of the reach of children. Seek medical assistance immediately if a child swallows a battery since corrosive battery fluids can damage the stomach or intestinal walls. 1. Confirm that the camera power is turned off.
2. Open up the battery door / cover and remove the AA Batteries.
3. Remove the date/time battery holder.
4. Grasp the battery and slide it in the direction of the arrow.
a480backupbatt.jpg 5. Insert a new battery with the (+) side facing up.
6. Replace the battery holder and battery cover.
7. When the Date/Time menu appears set the date and time.
note.gif After purchasing the camera and turning on the power for the first time, although the Date/Time menu will appear, you do not need to replace the date battery. If you ever dispose of your camera, first remove the date battery for recycling according to the recycling system of your area.

Mustek GSmart S50 Digital Camera replacement batter. i can find a D50 battery for replacement but I am not sure that would be the correct one? Can you tell me what is the correct battery for this camera....

Hello David,
This camera has a built in Lithium-Polymer battery. In general these batteries are custom made for the camera, so replacing it with other battery types is not a very good ideea. My advice is to go to a dealer and purchase an original battery for your camera. Unfortunately the web does not give the battery type for this camera, you really need to ask a dealer.

Camera says replace batteries even when fresh ones are installed

Sir/Maam,

Have you tried using new batteries? How long have you been using the old batteries? As far as i know, the longer you use a rechargeable batteries, the shorter its life(compared to the first time you used it).

Try using new batteries, if the problem is still there, the camera my have the problem. But if the camera works fine, then your old battery is defective.

Keep me update, hope i helped you. Thanks.

Casio NP20 battery does not charge, charger keeps flashing, does this mean I need new battery? also,it has 700MAH will 800 do when I replace it? was does this mean

Hello,

If you have had the battery a long time or have charged it often it will need replacing if it does not charge.
800MAH is the capacity of the battery, how much power it can store.
800 is better than 700 and if it is a NP20 it will be OK in your camera.

Hope this helps.

Buy Energizer electronics batteries or Rechargable NImH batteries. These are better for high drain devices such as digital cameras

I just replaced the batteries in my camera and the camera will not turn on. finepix s8100fd

(Nice camera :)

Typically, if the camera worked before the batteries were replaced, then non-function after battery replacement comes down to two items:

1) the batteries were inserted wrong way (with the wrong positive (+) or negative (-) end up or down. Check the inside of the battery compartment to see a little diagram with the + and - sign. Or else look in camera manual.
Fuji s8100 requires 4 x AA batteries, either Alkaline or Ni-MH rechargeables.
The two outer ones should have positive (+) bump UP, and the two inbetween should have the negative (-) smooth UP.

2) or the batteries are not new enough or not fully charged.

Also, when you replace batteries, never mix Alkaline with Rechargeables, and do not mix Old with New. You must go with either 4 Alkaline, or 4 Rechargeables, and either be new or just recently charged up.
Sometimes dirt may hamper the contact, but not usually.
And do make sure the battery cover latches down snug.

Replace battery sign in New canon A590si camera.

You're using the wrong batteries. You need to purchase lithium batteries. They are quality batteries for high powered, battery operated electronics. Personally, I have a battery charger and use rechargable duracell batteries. (HR6/ DC1500/ NiMH/ 1,2V) Gives you approximately 16 hrs before having to recharge.
