Walkman isn't working

I put my whole library on my walkman and it shows the songs being on there. there is no way for me to safely disconnect it and the screen just keeps saying connecting usb mtp. when I unplug it, it creates the library but says no songs available for playback. when I plug it back in it I open media player and all the songs show up in the walkman but wont play again when I disconnect.

my mp3 battery is completely dead. when i try and charge it with my usb chord, it doesn't charge

mine does the same thing, "no music available for playback"

  • Anonymous May 24, 2009

I use WMP 9 to transfer files, seems to be the only tool that can do it. I created a new folder within the music folder and transferred several MP3 files. They appear to be in place according to WMP, but when I access the folder through the MP3 player, it displays the message above: "no songs available for playback.please connect to compliance software or device and transfer songs"

How do i set a song for my text messages on my mix walkman phone

  • 1Populate your library. To get music from your computer to your Walkman, first make sure the music in your library is properly formatted. The easiest method is to load all of your music into the Windows Media Player library. Open the Windows Media Player and under the "Library" tab choose "Add to Library." A dialog box will open asking what files on your computer you wish to scan for music files. Make your selections and click "OK." Media Player will begin pulling music files into the library.
  • 2Import CDs. If the music you wish to upload to your Walkman resides on CDs you will need to import those into your library as well. Clicking on the "More Options" menu under the "Library" tab then choose "Rip Music." Follow the wizard and import all the music you need from your CD collection.
  • 3Connect the Walkman device to the PC. Your Sony Walkman should have come with a USB cable. Simply attach the cable to your Walkman and to your PC, then allow the computer to automatically install any necessary device drivers. If your PC is unable to automatically install the drivers, you may wish to install the disc provided with your Walkman. After the installation has occurred, you will notice that your device is now visible in your Media Player navigation menu.
  • 4Open your library. Highlight the library function on the navigation menu and double-click on the organization style you wish to employ. This can be by song, artist, album or genre. Then begin perusing your library for music you wish to add to your MP3 player.
  • 5Drag-and-drop music selections. When you find a song you wish to upload, click on the song, hold down the button and drag the title to the Sync List on the right side of your screen. Continue this process until you have chosen all the music you want to add.
  • 6Sync your device. Click on the "Start Sync" button in the lower right side of the screen to start the transfer process.

How to add songs in ipod

Assuming that you already have itunes installed and your iPod isn't sync'd with your library:
1. Open up itunes
2. Plug the ipod usb cable into the computer's usb port and plug your ipod in at the other end.
If you don't know which is the usb port on your computer a symbol next to it should look like this:
http://www.dailycupoftech.com/wp-content...
3. Wait for your ipod to show up in itunes
4. Select the songs you want to put on your ipod and drag them over into the "Music" folder on your ipod and wait for it to load.
5. When you are done, make sure you eject your ipod
There's an eject sign next to where it should show "(Your name)'s iPod"

That should be it
Depending on what kind of iPod you have there MIGHT be a different way to do it but I know this way works with the iPod mini, nano, and video.

If your iPod is synced to your library all you really have to do is plug it in and it adds all of the songs in your itunes library to your ipod.

Hope I helped

How do you download songs from computer's music files? I copied and pasted from my library, they appear on the player when connected t computer but are not there when disconnected?

Hello,

Transfers onto he MP815 can be done through exploring 'My Computer':
Music files must be copied into the Media folder of the player.
In this mode, the player shows as a removable disk in the computer folders.
Before disconnecting the player, always go through the safely remove hardware icon in the right corner below on the computer's screen.

When you're using a software program (e.g. Coby Media Manager or Windows Media Player) for transfers, use the help function in the software.
For Windows Media Player 11:
0. The player should be detected when you connect the USB cable.
1. Setup a library in WMP 11 [ Add to Library ], so the player knows the location of your music files.
2. Create playlist: put songs in a list
3. Sync the list onto the player
4. Wait until synchronizing has finished
Do not disconnect while sync is busy: a message appears when you're allowed to disconnect.

My sony walkman doesn't have database that's why i can't play music, how can i make database?

If you have a large playlist to transfer, you may prefer to do it from your media player, such as Windows Media Player. Once your MP3 player is connected to the computer, open Windows Media Player. Click on the "Sync Music" tab. Drag songs that you want from your Windows Media Library over to the "Sync Music" column to create a playlist. Click the "Begin Sync" tab at the bottom once you have all of the songs on your playlist. This action will sync all of the songs to your MP3 player with one click. Disconnect your device once songs have been transferred by clicking on the "Safely Remove Hardware" icon in the bottom-right side of the desktop tray.

Windows Explorer works! - Just put the MP3 files in the "MUSIC" folder when the drive letter shows up after you plug it in - I found that WMP can see mine but doesnt like to do anything with it as far as transferring files.. Look again in the Fixya page for this model player as I just listed how to convert videos correctly also. rob@ammoman.com
