Mitsubishi Hey there, I noticed in another post you were giving advice for this same issue. I have model #ws-55511. After our power came back on we can't turn on our TV. The green light just keeps blinking. We've tried to reset it & tried to unplug it for several hours...changed outlets..nothing! I know this is going to get expensive if I have someone come out to repair it. What do I need to look for in the back of the TV to make sure that V-19 thingy needs replaced? It's a big dusty mess back there & I can't even tell where that goes if I were to even order it? Please just write me by email [email protected] I did I search to find this site & I'm not sure I'll be able to find you again. thanks a lot!

    Thank you for all your help. I ordered the part today which is saving me $100 alone on the repair man visit. Keeping my fingers crossed I'll be able to figure this out :)~ I'll keep you posted

    I have model #ws-55511. We had a power outage, and when the power came back on we can't turn on

    I have the fast blinking green light problem too. The TV will not turn on. I tried hitting the reset button to no avail. I unplugged the TV and plugged it back in, got the same fast blinking green light. I tried plugging it in to another power outlet via extension cord, got same fast blinking green light. All of this just started today. I guess I will try leaving it unplugged for the night and try it again in the am. If anyone has had the same issue please post or email me the fix. Much appreciated... How did you get at the part/s? remove chassis or just the center board? I suspect something happened when you repaired the set.

Does the self check which even if set does not come on, power light comes on for a few seconds and goes off, do the self check (let me know if you need to know how) and see what blink code the power light gives.

Would you like to bypass, defeat or reset your Mitsubishi HDTV Front Button lock?

If you have misplaced your remote control, and have engaged the Mitsubishi HDTV Front Button Lock, you can bypass the front button lock by pressing and holding the MENU button on the front panel for more than 8 seconds.

How do i reset my mitsubishi television model#ws-55511
First a reset may not help unless I know what your problem is.

If model listed (WS-55511) IS CORRECT: set has 3 hidden menus:

Option Menu (hard reset of all settings to factory)
Technical Menu (Adjustments for various things)
Convergence Menu for adjusting convergence.

THESE ARE NOT ACCESSED FROM CUSTOMER MENU. Each requires Mitsubishi remote and a 4 digit code .......

So, What is your issue with the set?


I have the codes but it depends on model number and what problem with set is, reset is in Option menu but will not cure all problems.

Need to know where capacitors are on mitsubishi ws 55511 tv are located at have back of tv off and cant locate them please help thanx
they are located inside the DM modules case( Metal Case on far left side ) open the metal case and you will see 7 caps on the DM power board. I am posting a pic of the board with the 7 caps that need replacement use 1000UF 25V caps to replace the 1000UF 16V caps that are currently installed.

Would you like to bypass, defeat or reset your Mitsubishi HDTV Parental V-Chip parental lock? Have you forgotten your V-Chip passcode or password?

If you forget your V-Chip passcode, you can view the locked TV without entering your password.

When your passcode is requested, press the number 9 and the QV button on the original TV remote control at the same time. This process temporarily unlocks your TV.

When you enter the V-Chip Lock menu, pressing the number 9 and the QV button on the original TV remote control at the same time will delete your old password and prompt you to enter a new passcode. Pressing HOME at this time will cancel the entire passcode.

WS-55511 Mitsubishi projection TV is stuck on input 4, remote will not work at all. Any suggestions?
This model was first made in 2002 and is a V21 Mitsubishi chassis.

I presume the front input or device button does not do anything.


This (if it is a WS-55511) has an option code that can be accessed. It will reset everything back to the condition the set was in when it was new in the box; once executed you will have to put it in the cable band and autoprogram it----email me if you need instructions for this and I will give them to you.
