Some machines do just rotate in one direction and that is enough to knead the dough. Was the final result (the baked loaf) not satisfactory?

Why did you unplug it? Try resetting at another recipe and see if this helps.

Just baked a loaf of bread an now no power?

That is a temperature warning that is an automatic feature on bread machines. What the machine is telling you is that the oven chamber is still too hot from baking the last loaf. It does that to prevent you from starting another loaf and having that loaf fail due to the high heat killing the yeast. If you want to bake more than one loaf push the STOP button till it beeps, unplug the machine, raise the lid, and leave it open for no less than 20 minutes. It should work fine by then if not let cool off another 10 minutes. It will be cool enough by ½ an hour to start another one.

Burns bread before it can get done. Tried it three times. I am making a 1 1/2 pound loaf of sweet bread. I tried setting it to one pound and light crust but it still burns the bread before it gets done. I...

Look very carefully where the bread pan goes in. There is a heating element around it. If the bread pan is too close or touching the heating element ( the round thing running around the wall), it will burn the bread. You can try moving the bread pan away from the heating element. If you try and bend the heating element, it may break the element, so move the bread pan only.

Bread falls while baking

Try using a little less yeast or slightly more flour. The dough is either not quite stiff enough or slightly too much yeast.

Bread container won't stay seated

I had the same problem. I bent the spring tabs out and it helped a bit. I then made sure the breadpan was straight across the top. That seemed to do it. Only problem now is that I can't find the kneeding paddle.
