Help with a TruTech 1620

Hey judge. Could you email me with some info on how to get you to fix my boards. I think the powersupply and or inverter boards might be shot. Thanks for any help with this. David. davethompson01@gmail.com

What does your TV do?Red standby light is lit,but the TV doesn't turn on?Do you have the power board out?The one with the cord.If you can get the power board out,it would be alot less to ship then the whole TV.The only problem I ran into is the power cord doesn't fit out the hole in the frame. So you will either have to unsolder the power cord,or cut,and splice it back together. If you are willing to pay the shipping both ways,I will do my very best to try to fix it for you.If I can,how does $50 sound?I'm from Madison,Maine.Where are you from?Thank You very much!

Please ship the board to the following address.

Anyone have troubleshooting info?

Im not an expert by any stretch i have a vizio with the same issue and I have also replaced the powersupply / dc inverter board. I suspect we both need new mainboards. A site named shopjimmy offers many replacement parts at good rates. I am in the process or replacing the Tcon and LED driver boards now (they are much cheaper than the main) if either of those corrects the issue ill post a comment. FYI My problem on the Vizio TV was corrected by replacing the main-board after all.

Heres what mine did:no picture no sound, when i hit the remote the indicator light went out....piece of crap is six months old, cant find any info on it, cant get a hold of anyone at Trutech.
So i took it apart, on the board that the power cord is attached to, i found six blown capacitors. There is also a big ass one in the middle of that board which looked ok but blew out the bottom.I replaced them, and im watching it as i type.
Its fairly easy but if your not comfortable soldering on a cheap circuit board, take it to someone.
I hope it helps, i think this repair will fix the other Trutech models with the same problems.

Is there a simple way to check tv inverter board?

The inverter board will result in no pic but you will have sound so this is not the problem.Where did the replacement powersupply come from? what are the output voltages? if you check on the back of the lcd pannel you will find a label with the voltages shown.

You may have a problem on one of the other boards, are any of the electrolytic capacitors bulged or leaking?

Hope this info helps

Samsung lnt4042hx/xaa 40in lcd tv wont turn on

I concur with Lightnbaby.... had same problem... my TV LNT4042HX/XAA took 10 min to start sometimes... the capacitors on the power supply board had bubbles on top 4 of them all 10/1000Uf. Samsung wanted to charge $220+ to have a guy come out and fix. J&J parts (samsung vendor) wanted $108 for a new board. I replaced the 4 capacitors for $4.68 and the TV works fine now!!!!!

Trutech powersupply, I need an IC

Open the back of the TV,and look at the can shaped items on the boards. If any of them have the tops,or bottoms bulged out, they need to be replaced. This should get it working again.I hope this helps. If you have any questions, please let me know.Thank You very much!
