Very simple. you need to get an SD card reader from your local electronics store ( CC or Best buy). it's very simple. the memory card goes into the card reader and that ensemble plugs into any of the usb ports in your computer. once plugged in, the computer will recognize it as external memory, just like a flash/thumb drive and your comptuer can read the pictures off of the card without any interaction with the camera itself. all you will need to do is copy the pictures and paste them into any folder you wish.

Take no more pics until you've recovered your photos, take the card out of the camera. This is to reduce the chance of you overwriting some of your "lost" photos. There are many good freeware photo recovery software options that may help you recover your photos. This article reviews and outlines several of the better ones.
The software that comes with the A630 is generic to the whole series of cameras with different capabilities. Some have this feature, and some, like the A500 - A600 series, do not. Do not feel bad though. Many of the cameras that do have this capacity cannot do the photo-stitch picture merging that your camera does.
Canon A550 and A560 have the same body and most of the internal parts, including lens assembly are the same. Canon won't sell individual parts within the lens assembly. There could be two possiblities. One is (unlikely) that the lens assembly components have been knocked off from their position. The other is that because of a knock, or dropping the camera, the gears in the gearbox of the lens assembly are broken. These gears are the same as the ones in A530/A540, and are available from ebay for $12.50 including shipping. Checkout my site for how to open up the camera and the lens assembly to replace these:
For A550 and A560, if you take it to the professional repair shop, it might not be cost effective, since it might cost around $90. Canon does not sell gears, so they might have to replace the entire lens assembly. The new camera is available these days for around $140.
as far as i think VISTA is not compailant with the CANON software. since vista s a latest version CANON will have to release a new version of its software for VISTA. so this must be requested with CANON.
