Question about Canon Cameras
If you have a DSLR and your'e getting this "error 99" it may be associated with the particular lens youre using. try turning off the camera and removing the battery, the lens, and the memory card. let it sit for half an hour. reinsert the battery only and depress the shutter button as if you were to take a normal picture. if error 99 occurs again, then the camera needs servicing. if it error 99 doesn't occur at this point, turn the camera off and install the memory card. format the memory card while it's in the camera and press the shutter button as if youw ere to take a normal picture again. if you see error 99, then the problem probably lies with the memory card. if it doesn't occur, turn off the camera and install the lens. again, power on the camera and press the shutter as if you are taking a normal picture. if the error occurs, then it's with the lens. try to clean the lens including the connection points both on the camera and the lens. if the error code still occurs, try different lens to narrow it down to which particular lens is giving the issue. if it happends with all the lens, then the camera needs to be serviced.
