Len trying to help Carol in a panic trying to print her resume. The HP office jet 4315 All-in-one was printing and ran out of paper. Installed more paper and it wouldn't print. It's connected to an HP Pavillion Lap Top dv 2610 us.Received an error message 2715 and instructions to go to www.hp.com/support for troubleshooting information about "Fatal Error" and "MSI Scan". Disconnected the USB cable and reinstalled the printer disc Version 8.0.1. The test page did not print. Previously noted there were 28 messages in the printer queue. Can you help now or not? 215-345-9004.

If you're in a hurry, save to disk or USB memory stick, and dash to Kinkos / Staples / Business Depot or any other copy center, to get it printed out.

If you've got time otherwise, shut printer off, then on, and try and print a test page using the buttons on the printer.

If successful, then proceed to the PC. Shut down, reboot, and check the printer status. If good, try to reprint.

Everytime I try to print on my HP 6500 office jet 709n it tells me there is a papersize mismatch - I am printing on 81/2 x 11 paper and that is what the settings read.


Reset the printer.
1. Unplug the power cord from the back of the printer. 2. Press and hold the # key and the number 6 and plug the printer back in all at the same time. 3. Release the keys once the printer is already turned on.
If the printer takes the paper but only crumples it. Do the Reset for the 2nd time.

Heavier weight resume paper was apparently misaligned and started to jam printer. I pulled paper out and now carrier is stuck in middle, the power button and paper jam button both blinking. I tried...


Hi,
Although you got the paper out of the printer, there may still be some small pieces jammed under the print head. You may have to manually move the print head to get at the small pieces. You need to make sure the printer is unplugged before you try this. Once the carriage seems to move freely plug the printer back in, it should move to the right where it will come to rest. You should go through the change ink process, but just take out the one that's already in there and then put it back in again. Also run the head cleaning, alignment, and print test utility before attempting to print. If you still are having problems there may still be pieces of paper stuck in the print head. In that case repeat the process again. I hope this helps you.

HP Office jet Pro L7380 will not pick up paper


Paper feed problems are very common with HP officejet printers but don't panic...

Few things to try..
1. Check that when the printer tries to feed paper the wheel is dropping down and making contact with the paper.

2. Make sure you have not set the paper guides so the paper is too tightly held... try loosening them

3. Watch this little video on how to fan-apart paper and try doing this to get some air in between the paper sheets.. This often resolves many of the problems.

4. Try changing the paper for something a bit coarser or even cheaper as HP printers can be a bit "Fussy" about the paper they will feed best...

Printer does not print in color


I have the 4315, so I am not sure if the answer is exactly the same. But there is a setting, for only printing in black ink and you need to disable it. Here is how to get to that setting: Go to
"File" "Print" "Properties" "color" UNCLICK "Greyscale" and unclick "Black cartridge only."
