SOURCE: Everything works....but hit shutter button & it goes dead.

If the camera works on A/C then you need to replace the battery. If you suspect that the connection is lost when you push the shutter, try to remove and reinsert the battery. If it works, make sure that battery connectors are clean.

Convert/Import Canon HF M300 MTS Videos to ProRes for Final Cut Pro X with High...

Canon FCP X-Transcode/Edit Canon HF M300 MTS to ProRes 422 for FCP X

To save the storage space of my Canon HFM300 and shoot more ,I used to copy the videos I like from the camcorder to my Mac and delete the others. Recently I want to edit the videos I shot in my graduation year with FCP X and then share the MP4 videos on youtube. The problem is that I do not have the whole BDMV folder and therefore, cannot import MTS Videos to FCP X on Mac. I tried many products and thanks to Aunsoft Final Mate for Mac - 2011 Best Import and Edit Software, it helps me solve the problem. Following I am very glad to share my experience of importing MTS files with Aunsoft Final Mate for Mac and Import and Convert MTS files to Apple ProRes for editing on FCP X.

1. Import MTS videos from Aunsoft Final Mate for Mac.
One great feature of Final Mate for Mac is that it can import MTS files without the whole BDMV folder. Click the "Add A Path" icon to browse the Mac and select a folder where MTS video files are saved, then click "OK" to display the videos. The MTS files are imported to the Final Mate for Mac.

2. Create a movie for conversion.
Click the drop-down button of "Add A Movie" icon and choose "For Conversion" to create a blank movie. Then drag and drop the MTS files from Camcorder Tab to the blank movie.

3. Export Apple ProRes or Apple ProRes 422 for Editing on FCP X.
Click the little icon on the right side of the movie and choose its output format as "Apple ProRes 422" under "final cut pro", click the "Export" button and Start Convert Canon MTS to ProRes/ProRes 422

4. Edit Apple ProRes on FCP X.
After conversion is completed, you can Edit Apple ProRes on FCP X and then share it to youtube.

Tips:
Aunsoft Final Mate for Mac can only import videos of AVCHD, TOD, MOD temporarily, for videos of other formats like mxf, mov and mp4,you can use Video Converter for Macto help you.

Not Export Original Format-Merge MTS and Export MKV without Conversion for Playing on WDTV
Watch MKV Videos on WDTV-Join MTS to MKV without Transcoding in Seconds and Keep the Highest Quality

I enjoy shooting videos with my Panasonic HDC-SD900 for its high definition. But I encountered a problem last Sunday when I needed to join several videos to one and play it on my WDTV Live Hub media player. I tried several ways and finally found that The 1.7th Edition of Final Mate is my best choice. One of its new features is that it can import MTS files and Export Lossless MKV Instead of Original Format. Following I will share my experience of joining MTS files and lossless output MKV.

How to Join MTS to MKV without Transcoding and Watch MKV Videos on WDTV with Keep the Highest Quality
1.Import Videos to Aunsoft Final Mate.

Turn on your camcorder and connect it to computer via USB. The 1.7th Edition of Final Mate will launch automatically. You will see video files from different data storages of your camcorder. Select the drive and click "Next". Then follow the wizard to complete the import. After that you will see the following window, in which all the files are checked, uncheck the "Check all" box and select the ones you'd like for importing, then click "Start" to import your camcorder files.

2. Create a Movie For Lossless Join and Output.

Click the drop-down button of "Create a New Movie" icon and choose "For lossless output" to create a blank movie. Ive just purchased a vivitar 830xhd camcorder and

The flash on the camcorder only works while taking still pictures, not for videos.

For still pictures, pressing the Flash button on the lower-left corner of the display gives you three options: Auto, On, and Off.

For videos, if you want more light, you're going to have to look elsewhere. Any good camera store can show you a selction of lights.

Cards not working with camera

If you used the SD/MMC memory card in another brand of camera or device, you may need to format the card in your new EasyShare digital camera. (You may have noticed a "Memory Card Needs Formatting" message when you inserted the card.) CAUTION: Formatting deletes all pictures and videos, including those that are protected. Removing a card during formatting may damage the card. To format the SD/MMC memory card or the internal memory of the camera: Transfer images to the computer before formatting the memory card. Press the camera Menu button. Highlight SETUP MENU, and then press the OK button. Highlight FORMAT, and then press the OK button. Highlight an option - MEMORY CARD (deletes everything on the card), CANCEL (exits without formatting), or INTERNAL MEMORY (deletes everything in internal memory). Press the OK button. Highlight Continue, and then press the OK button. Wait until formatting is finished before removing the card. When formatting is complete, the SETUP MENU is displayed. Press the Menu button to exit the menu.
