Acer Aspire 5002WLMi Keyboard problem. I somehow did something to my keyboard set up so it is using the secondary options. For example, when I type the letter K, it comes up a 2. L comes up as 3 etc. I cannot figure out how to get it back to normal.

Try holding the Fn key, usually blue, while pressing the "num lock" key, which is usually above the 7. This should release the number pad function of the keyboard.

Let me know if this doesn't fix the issue!

My Acer Aspire 5738G's QWERTY-keyboard has suddenly changed

Sounds as though you have changed it to a US keyboard by accident. Go into Control Panel and Check in Regional & Language Settings for Keyboard.

How to replace the DVD drive on Acer Aspire 5002

I actually had to permorm this action yesterday.
First remove the small strip above the keyboard by unscrewing the three screws at the back of the machine that hold it; then twisting the screen al the way back and lifting it up.
Second unscrew the keyboard (2 screws) and lift it away (don't detach the cable).
Third: on the left side under the keyboard unscrew 3 screws that hold the cdrom in place.
Pull the drive out. The rest (taking the case of the dirve) should be transparent.
There is nothing on the bottom you have to unscrew!

Acer Aspire One A0A150 keyboard issue,

Sounds to be you just got a faulty keyboard from HongKong, if your old keyboard works except the the Z and the new keyboard works only with function keys, then it sounds to be that the new keyboard is not ment for your laptop. if anything you should of had the same problems as your old keyboard. try using a USB keyboard.

My letters and words will randomly go in different places

Have you checked the moue and keyboard settings see if there is something in the settings...one computer I would recommend to check the keyboard wiring but with two that would be quite a coincidence. If the mouse is chasing the cursor then its got to be a software issue..also run spyware software on both. Spyware captures keystrokes so could be affecting the keyboard pointer settings.
