Refill it but not necessarily with as much paper as it can possibly hold - many printers like a little elbow room in their paper trays. Make sure to feather the pages to eliminate static. Hold the pages in one had and flip through the pages at a fast rate with your thumb. If the paper tray is not empty, check for a misfeed. A sheet may have been caught in the mechanism. There may be a variety of printer access doors to check. Pull out any remnants. Even the smallest piece of paper could be causing the problem, so check carefully. Tweezers are handy for this procedure.

    1. Check the printer and/or the software to see if "manual
feed" is selected. If manual feed is selected, the printer may be
looking for paper in another tray.

    2. Reseat paper. Ensure printer is on-line. Check for paper jams or obstructions.

    3. Likely suspect: paper-out sensor is damaged or broken. Consult a computer repair shop.

Ran out of paper and when i put in more paper i can't get paper to feed and print. When we just bought printer there was not a manual

Try the steps below to fix the issue:

1. Remove the sheets of paper from the feeder.

2. Grab a flashlight and look inside the feeder for any debris or foreign objects.

3. If you're willing and physically able, you may also turn the printer over. Any debris should just freely roll out from the feeder.

4. If feeder is clear, place the printer back on the table, open the printer cover and remove the cartridges.

5. Check the cartridge area for any obstructions/debris in the cartridge carrier's path or the paper path.

6. If cartridge area is clear, close the cover.

7. Rebrick (pull out power supply, black box where the power cord is plugged in at the back of the printer, and put it back after 30 seconds).

8. When the printer turns on, reinsert the cartridges and load some paper. Try to print again.

Cannot empty the print que print jobs on IMac status is Deleted, except for last line which says "printing", but it is not printing

This is most likely because an error with the printer is making it impossible to delete the final print job. The most common error is no paper or a paper jam. Look for blinking lights on the printer and any error messages. Feed more paper if necessary. Once you fix the problem, reset the printer or press the blinking button.

The light on the right is flashing red.

e1e1095.jpgPower button and light

- If the power light is flashing it means that your printer may be receiving data.
- If the resume light is flashing you may be out of paper, or you may have a paper jam, you may be printing a two sided document by hand and the first side has finished printing.
- If the print cartridge status light is flashing that means the top cover may be open, of there may be a problem with one of the cartridges.
- If all of the lights are flashing the printer may need to be reset.

Hope this helps.

Won't print

I'd guess that the machine is unable to pick up the paper so goes into jam mode, paper feed roller is worn, needs screwdrivers and parts.

Here is PARTS also needs little japanesse type fingers, gentleness, then a few bits come off from left side, spring, solenoid, and a couple of gears then tray out, 6 screws release base, few more bits and your done.

You should feed ok from bypass tray still and can have a dodgy attempt at fix by wiping paper feed roller(3cm rubber funny shaped roller sits front centre under with tray out) with something to clean it free of paper dust. ie metho, water.
