Question about HP Pavilion dv1000 Notebook
Actually when i am trying to to install windows xp professional operating system my laptop its showing the error that SET UP DID NOT FIND ANY HARD DISC DRIVES INSTALLED IN YOUT SYSTEM
If the Hard Drive self test utility is unable to detect the Hard Drive, the Hard Drive in your Notebook might have gone bad.
I recommend you to try removing and reseating the Hard Drive by getting the instructions from the Manual of the Notebook which can be accessed from the link below so that if there is any issue with the Connectivity, this should solve the issue:
You can find the necessary instructions to remove and replace the Hard Drive in the Notebook from page numbers 120 of 258 in the manual.

Xp doesn't have sata drivers so you will need to go here and do this http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/document?lc=en&cc=us&docname=c00758841&dlc=en unless you know how to slipstream them

Hi can u tell what os is currently install in ur laptop..
Go to bios setup check whether ur driver is showing.
if its showing means go to boot device property and change the first boot device to Driver.And then try it..
