- I have had a pink line running vertically down my laptop monitor approximately 1/3 of the way across the screen from the left for about 3 or 4 weeks now. It's a HP Pavilion dv6439 that I bought on November 30, 2007 so I still have my 1-year manufacturer's warranty in effect. From what I'm reading online, is this covered under the warranty? Can it be fixed? There has been no bumping, dropping, etc.; I am extremely careful with my laptop! Any help? I would really appreciate it!! Thanks - oceangoer03
