- Plug the USB cable into the outlet on the phone. There is not a
universal USB cable to fit all phones, so be sure you use the right
cable for your phone. If you do not have a USB cable, go to a cell
phone store and buy one for your specific cell phone. Plug the other
end of the cable into an open USB slot on your computer.
- Open "My Computer" or "Computer" from your Start menu. Your computer
should automatically detect the cell phone. Double-click on the cell
phone's icon in the open window.
- Open the folder you saved the music in. Right click on the music file
or files you want to place on the phone. To select more than one file,
hold down the Control key while you click on the files you want to
transfer to your cell phone. Select "Copy" from the menu that pops up
when you right click the highlighted files.
- Click in the cell phone's folder window opened in Step 4. Right click
in the middle of the window and select "Paste" from the menu you are
given. This automatically starts to transfer the files to your cell
phone. Once the transfer is complete, remove the USB cord and listen to
the music on your phone.
