You'll need to purchase an adapter like the one found at monoprice.com:
http://www.monoprice.com/products/product.asp?c_id=104&cp_id=10401&cs_id=1040110&p_id=70&seq=1&format=2. Then just plug it in :-)

LG monitor displays "D-SUB POWER SAVING MODE" when it is starting

The message it is displaying indicates that a VGA cable is connected and is not sending signal, or is sending a Monitor Off signal across the VGA cable. The motherboard battery will have no impact on this. If you are using something other than a VGA cable to send the signal to the monitor, then you should ensure that no VGA cable is plugged into the monitor, or the source on the monitor is not using the VGA connector.

Check your video cable going from your monitor to the pc. If your trying to use more than 1 monitor, is your video card capable of using more than 1? Are you using the mother board video card or a store bought one?

Well i wanted to know whats wrong with my computer i dont know if im missing some cables but it says no signal.

It says no signal can be that the video card is not putting out video signal to the monitor, you need another monitor to verify that or you can try reseating the video card if it is not the integrated video card in the mother board. It can be the VGA cable itself. Try thsi monitor with other PC to make sure it is not the monitor problem.

Not gettin any signal from cpu

When the monitor shows no signal it means either the data cable going from the monitor to the computer or the computers graphics card needs to be replaced.

OK. Thanks for the response. That message is telling us that the monitor is getting no signal from the computer. In your case, it sounds like it is working part of the time. So, here are the things that can cause the problem, starting with the monitor and working backwards.
1) The monitor may have an internal problem.
2) The cable connector that goes into the monitor may have a loose connection or be bad. Check for loose or bent pins in the connector plug and socket, and that the plug is seated properly and is tight.
3) The cable itself could be damaged and have a wire that is cut or pinched. Look for cuts or heavy crimps on the cable.
4) The cable connector that goes into the computer may have a loose connection or be bad. Check for loose or bent pins in the connector plug and socket, and that the plug is seated properly and is tight.
5) There could be a problem with the computer that is internal. If there is a video card that plugs into the mother board, you could unplug it, clean the dust and such from the contacts on the card and around where the video card plugs in the mother board and reinsert the video card. Also, the video card itself could be bad,in which case it would need to be replaced. Some systems have the video function as a part of the mother board. If that's the case, the mother board would need to be replaced.

One thing that you can try when it is failing. While watching the monitor, firmly wiggle the cable and each of the connectors to see if the signal comes and goes. You may want to enlist someone to watch while you wiggle, or wiggle while you watch (That sounds kind'a bad doesn't it? <Grin>) But, that could tell us something.

Hope this helps and will be waiting to hear back from you on this.
