Do you mean the brushes will not spin? the most likely cause is the bearings have seized, it will need repair or replacement. check also the brush speed knob. when on, and handle tilted the brushes should rotate. There is no belt.

Where is the belt located on my hoover steam shampoer

There is probably not a belt. The brushes on the carpet cleaner head and attachments work from air and there is a roller bearing deep inside that will wear out and the brushes won't turn. I've found no way to fix this. I consider it a design defect.

Brushes do not move any more how can I access the belt area to replace or inspect

The brushes are turning by an air driven turbine. The turbine has a pivot bushing made of steel inside of it that gets rusty because of the water that is running through it. The turbine gear will have to be replaced. You can access the turbine gear by removing the hood. You can find a genuine hoover replacement part by following the link below. Just find the model number of your Steamvac.

that model doesnt have a belt, it has a gearbox that runs the brushes. if you are getting a burning smell its probably the motor going bad. how old is the machine? i can give you a diagram if you want to attempt to replace the motor or would just like to have it. Let me know and ill upload it to my adrive account and give you the link.

Belt broke how do i fix it

To my knowledge model F7220900 SteamVac doesn't require a belt. Are you sure that is your model? If you have a different Hoover model you can get a replacement belt here:

Belt Broke - Need to replace it

All you need to do is:

1) Get the actual model number of your Hoover. The information you gave is just what appears on the front of the unit, and that's not the model number. You will find the actual model number on a small tag at the rear of the vacuum near bottom, or on the bottom of the unit.

2) Take that model number to a local independent vacuum cleaner store (not a department / big box store, which will have very limited belt offerings), where they will set you up with a new one. Probably wouldn't hurt to call first just to make sure they carry them / have them in stock.

Hoover all terrain steamVac brushes wont move. Does this model have a belt and where

The brushes are driven by air flow (suction). the most likely problem is with the turbine. This part can be replaced or repaired. If under warranty, take it tin for service, otherwise you will void any warranty.
