It's not quite that easy but Jeancart did lead me to the solution. Once you press "set" under the dialing pad, the "up" and "down" keys on the right bank of the facia of the phone will scroll you through a menu. I never did see the dialing mode but when I replaced the batteries and plugged the phone line in, it worked. So, I guess I did something right. Hooray!

I would like to know how to change the time on LCD screen for our Panasonic KX-T7630 phones. Thanks Kelly

If you are using this phone on a Panasonic KX-TDA 30/100/200/600 system. From the Switcboard / Main telephone or Managers phone with the handset on the cradle/hook press Program * * or Program * # followed by the system password ( default is 1234). Now press 000 and then ENTER. Enter the last 2 digits of the year and then select the month with either SEL+ or AUTO ANS / MUTE. Now scroll right with the right arrow key and change the date. Now press the NEXT button on the screen and the time will appear. Set the time. Press AUTO DIAL / STORE to save your changes. Lift the handset and put it down to exit program mode.

BLANK LCD SCREEN

this is a common problem with iDCS phones (falcon) sometimes all you have to do is unplug the phone from the wall for a minute and the reconnect it. If this does'nt work, the display is probably bad. The is no programming that will turn the display off.

The time on the LCD is wrong

If you are looking at the manual for the phone itself this probably is not covered because the phone system stores the time, not the phone. I do not know which Panasonic phone system you have. Here is a helpful link to a page that contains time programming changes. http://www.tel-programmer.com/time_setting.html

Setting date/time display

First, you have to Enable Customer Programming. - With handset on-hook, dial #06. The display shows [MMC DISABLED]. - Dial the passcode and '1' and then dial #. (If you don't know the password try 1234, 4321, 9999, etc.) At this point, customer programming is open... Next, Setting the date and time. - Dial #55. Display shows [YY MM DD W HH MM]. - Dial new information as follows: YY = Last two digits of the year MM = Month (01-12) DD = Day of the month (01-31) W = Day of the week (1-7; week begins on Monday (1) and ends on Sunday (7)) HH = Hour (use 24 hour clock) MM = Minutes (00-59) - Dial # to set current date and time. The phone returns to normal use.
