I lost my DVD remote so I am using the pronto 3000 universal. When I play a DVD I can't select scenes or skip because it only lets me fast forward or rewind. Can't watch some DVDs because you have to

this is the issue with non original remotes, if they program they will always be missing key or needed features---search for the original remote if you want all the features.

Cannot fast forward with remote

The solution given above works. But just be aware that the remote "Idalia ZM" is talking about that you press enter + 1 on is your television remote. Fast forward, rewind and skip (both directions) worked after doing this. Thank you Idalia ZM!

How do you program into the dvd that you want it to fast forward quickly? There is a way but am not sure how it is done.

You don't, you just press the FORWARD button on remote during DVD playback to 'fast forward' (pressing this button a second time during playback increases forward scan speed). The forward and reverse buttons have 'SLOW/SEARCH' printed above them on the remote. The other buttons next to them are the PREV/NEXT buttons (SKIP/INDEX).

DVD playback speed/skip/search is mostly a manual user function; it cannot be auto set.

Turn on the DVD player without DVD inserted. Then, using the remote control, press this buttons: Setup, Stop, Skip Backwards, Skip Forwards.

My remote control cannot work on rewind, fast forward or comerical skip. The DVD screen display SET 1.

Hello, I had the same problem and after spending a few hours reading and trying things, I found a solution. Its very simple. Power on your unit (manually) and then on your remote control push and hold at the same time"enter" and the number "1" while pointing directly to your unit and this should solve the problem. Good luck.

Can't forward to a scene in the middle of a movie

When this Sign comes up it means that you cannot Forward.
You usually get this at the start of some dvd movies.
It is basically to stop you forwarding through the advertisements.
Ive never (YET) seen this (Logo) in the middle of a film denying you to Fast-Forward to a particular point or where you SHOULD be able to select a scene.
I can only presume this Film you have is either a pirate(IM NOT suggesting that you deal with pirate copies)
or a foreign movie.
