Question about Hitachi 50UX26B/27K 50" Rear Projection Television
This is a common television flyback transformer , it has two potentiometers ( POTS ) variable resistors , how ever you wanna say it , the one above has 3 , one of them is the focus
you can use a plastic screwdriver or plastic wand , or small metal screw driver if nothing else
Here's a closeup of one that has only two potentiometers
One of them is the focus adjustment
to adjust the focus/sharpness of the image you see on the screen
1. find which one is the focus , you will know because adjusting it out of calibration will cause
the screen to go out of focus untill you adjust it correctly.
to adjust it correctly , rock it back and forth untill you see the sharpest image , then your done.
if you accidently get the wrong one by mistake your screen will increase in brightness
set the brightness lower rather than higher , because you don't want it to be over saturated.
