I am getting the internal error 8211 and it appears several people are, does anyone have a solution or know if maxtor is working on it Error shows in backup of Quick book files.
That error occurs when the 3 Quickbooks files don't have the same date. I'm not sure how they get out of synch, but if you check the dates of the files on your Maxtor backup, you'll find they are different.
The easy solution is to delete the files from your Maxtor backup, and then immediately do another backup. Maxtor will copy the current files over and you'll be all set.

I am getting the same message next to all the Quickbooks files. I purchased the drive specifically to make sure I didn't lose any Quickbooks data only to find out when one of the QB files crashed that I didn't have a current backup.
In the meantime, I am manually copying the files to the drive.
I am also having the 8211 error problem with QB...and sadly, backing up QB is the reason I bought the HD. I would appreciate a fix if anyone knows of it. I am also going to contact the computer guy that sold it to me and see what he can dig up.
