Question about HP Officejet Pro L7780 All-In-One InkJet Printer

1 Answer

Last line not printing

We purchased the HP Pro L7780 about a month ago. Within the last two weeks the last line of a document is not printing.....no matter what adjustment is made to the margins.

I have the same problem. I have tried cleaning the printhead so I will wait to see if it continues to happen. At this time I have no ideas.

Same here, all print jobs (except maybe from IE) are cut off on the bottom.

Same problem on 7680. No matter where the line is it just prints about the top 20% of the line

I have the same problem. Quite often the last line in various documents (Word, Firefox) is printed cut in half (with just above half of the line printed). The printer is brand new HP Office Jet J6410. I am quite sure that this is HP firmware problem. It occurs both on Vista and XP systems. Any ideas?

I have the same problem (last line or two won't print, or prints the top half of the last line), but intermitently. This drives me crazy! I have occasionally been successful in printing the whole document by adding a footer (that I don't want), but results are inconsistent.

    Same problem here.

Same problem here. Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't. More often than not it cuts off half of the second to last line and the last line entirely.

On one particular document the printer would print every page perfectly except for the first page - making it print only that page didn't help. Really annoying and a waste of paper.

the same with Mac OS X.4.11 and Mac OS X.5.5

Same problem. First noticed it printing envelopes. It would cut off the first half (approximately) of the return address, which is actually last part printed. No problem with documents until today, when is started cutting off the last line(s) as described here. Sometimes it was OK, other times not. Nothing consistant. Running Vista and Word 2007.

I'm having a problem printing dvd case inserts. File size is 10.625 " x 7.25 " and no matter how I arrange the settings, it shortens the file to 10.3125 x 7.25. It's driving me nuts!

Hi,

Try reset your printer by following this procedure to reset it,

1. Without turning the unit off, unplug the power cord from the back of the product.
2. Press and hold # and 6 keys.
3. While holding those keys plug the power cord back in.
4. Wait until the screen goes blank before you release those keys.
5. Follow on printer screen instructions. This should fix the problem.

Alignment failed refer to device documentation hp L7780

You need to remove the black/yellow printhead and dab it on a damp paper towel until you see a solid line of black ink on the towel when you press it. It won't pass the alignment until all colors work properly.

I have HP C4599 and I spent an hour online with chat support. I guess my problem was some bidirectional thing. Check this link out to see if it helps.
