I have a virus in my yahoo email How do I get rid of it?

My analysis to that problem is it has a virus, there is no case normally like that unless your computer has been attacked by a virus so if that is the case you need to reformat but check first your system if the problem persist that is the time to reformat to get rid of the virus. One more thing, maybe your mouse isn't responding try to replace your mouse.

It is hard to say but I would automatically jump to the conclusion that you have a virus already. I'm assuming this programs wants you to fix or get rid of the virus that is says yahoo is, only thing is you have to pay to do so. In a nutshell people sometimes download virus protection program which are in fact virus, malware, spyware etc. I would suggest getting a real virus protection software set and cleaning out your system, it is also possible that you virus protection suit and firewall In Particular has not approved yahoo as a valid accessible address, but in which case the program does not respond to the user by telling them that yahoo is a virus, there is also a chance that you may in fact be accessing a fake yahoo page, I suggest getting a norton trail, cleaning your system, deleting avast--Good Luck.

Sounds like you have an email virus. I would first try setting up a new email account on a different site (yahoo, hotmail, gmail, etc) and see if the problem persists. If it stops, then let all your contacts know that you have a new email address. If it doesn't, get a virus scanner like Malwarebytes, AVG or Spybot Search & Destroy and that should take care of the problem.

Depending on what operating system you have you can scan for viruses or malware through an Antivirus program or if you have windows vista update and use the Windows Defender program it works very well to rid viruses, if not try to restore at an earlier date before the accident happened, go to start tab, accesories, system tools and system restore and go back in time to a day you can remember the PC being fine, otherwise you may be looking at a reformat , u might have to format the harddrive and reinstall your operating system.to clean out the viruses and malware.

If we don't use yahoo for more than 1 month then closes the account on temporary basis. SO for getting rid of this problem you will need to re-activate the account and then you will be able to use your yahoo.

Some times a virus also stops using the yahoo website.

sorry i dont have this yet but go to ww.avast.com and download the free antivirus program this will be able to tell you where it came from and get rid of any that you may have caught along the way ok?

u might have a dormant virus that is attached to whatever u are sending...and ur antivirus is unable to see it but it happens...i used a program called combofix and regcure(both free downloweds and safe) they fix whatever is attaching itself and what ur virus protection cannot get rid of...hope this helps

Check your trash. If you did not delete the trash, you can put a check on them and send them back to the inbox. If you deleted the trash, it is gone. You can not undelete it. maybe you can contact yahoo help and support , can't rule out virus , multiple access to the account . mail is not stored on hard drive but i believe contacts are , possibly a system restore to earlier date might make the contacts reappear . just a thought .

create an account with yahoo ie sign up with www.yahoo.com and uninstall all the internet explorer tool bars and then install yahoo tool bar with CA anti spyware. its an work around if you are interested in free email stuffs and all. and don't worry all the emails from your hotmail account can be imported to your yaho account.
