I have a Garmin Street Pilot c330 which when plugged in and power button pushed, the screen lights up for a few seconds and shuts down. It was giving a low battery warning before shutting down. Where is teh battery in teh unity? and should I replace the fuse?
Try recalibrating the touch screen. Turn on unit while continuing to press the power button for about a minute. You will then be prompt to touch a series of dots on the screen. Once prompt to do so, release the power button and touch the dots. Press OK when calibration is complete. The unit will continue to power on. Good Luck.
I followed the instructions of the Online manual for the Garmin Street Pilot c-340, I removed the faceplate of the Street Pilot and then using my thumb pressed down on the reset button. I then pressed the power on button on the side of the device- the screen lit up, I then plugged one end of the USB cable into my computer and the other end into the device. The information on the screen of the device indicated the Lithium Battery was charging properly.
Your StreetPilot If your StreetPilot freezes (stops responding to
button presses), try turning it off and then on again. If this does not help,
remove the batteries and then reinsert them. Disconnect from external power, if
all User Data If resetting does not fix your problem, you may
need to clear all user data from your StreetPilot. • IMPORTANT: zf you clear all user data, you will delete all saved
locations from My Favorites I and
all settings in your StreetPilot. Be sure you want to clear all user data
before proceeding. To clear all user data, press and hold down all
buttons in the following order: ciJ,
Wheel, Power. Continue holding down all buttons until you see a prompt, “Do you
really want to erase all user data?”
Ok, you've tried a reset, but have you tried a Master Reset? Doing this WILL ERASE ALL OF YOUR FAVORITES, but it may help. Turn the unit off. Press the "On" button with your finger on the bottom right of the screen at the same time. Release the "On" button, but keep pressing the screen until the unit asks if you're sure you want to reset all data. Press "Yes". See if this helps.
