Clean your fuel filter and then clean your carb and replace diaphram and needle and make sure hoses are good while you are at it, the methanol causes needle and diaphram to get stiff and gum up not letting fuel into carb when primed, replace your primer blb while at it

Weed Eater Priming

Check out the tubing to the carb. If it is good then the top part of the carb with the check valves is defective. If so, you need a new carb since those suckers cannot be fixed.

I'm working on a echo gt-200 weed wacker and can't get it to start. I have compression, fuel and spark. what can I check

Use only FRESH gas. 2 cycle motors are sensitive and will not run on gas that will still power a lawn mower.

I fought with this for years before realizing how gas degrades over time - especially in plastic gas cans - as the important fuel molecules can evaporate right through the plastic.

Use a quality 2 cycle oil and mix to proper ratio for the saw.

Never used weed wacker before I have a Echo SRM225 how do you start the darn. thing..? :) I have pulled and pulled and no I am not out of gas. :)

You need to put it in full choke. If it is in full choke and still won't start, try pulling the trigger a bit. once you have it started in full choke, back it down to half choke and hold down the trigger until it catches. Once it catches take the choke off entirely WITHOUT removing your finger from the trigger.

I have the Echo PB 265L leaf blower. When it runs it leaks fuel down my back. Seems to be coming out of a tub that is connected to the fuel button pump (which you push to prime when starting) I checked on...

I had the exact same problem with gas soaking my back and found out the yellow fuel discharge tube that comes out of the carberator was not inserted into the rubber gasket on top the fuel tank. The gasket has 3 holes in it for 3 tubes and the yellow tube fits into one of the holes. Hope this helps. It is a bit difficult to get the tube in the hole, but at least if you know what you are looking for you can get it to work

Istuctions for fuel line installation on weed wacker

The esiest way to figure it out is to take the line with the filter and put it on one nipple then push on the primer a few times and see if fuel comes out of the other, if no fuel then switch the line over to the other. But if im not mistaken the filter will go to the bottom.
