Goes straight to burn and doesen't copy

Which Program? There is a difference between Burn and Copy.

Copy means you have a CD or DvD that already has something on it such as a music CD or a movie DvD and you want to copy it. The system normally reads the CD or DvD and copies the contents to disk then asks you to put in a blank CD or DvD to make the copy.

Burn means you have Data Files, Documents or Music that is already on the disk drive and you want to put it on a Cd or DvD. Normally you just put in a blank CD or DvD then either Drop and Drag, Browse or Copy and Paste the files you want on the CD or DvD.

Probably, reinstall windows and it will be ok. But, you may need the DVD from the manufacturer to boot from in order to reinstall a fresh copy of windows.

You have a Windows installation disk, put that in the DVD drive and see if it reads that. The computer won't boot because Windows is not loaded on to your computer it sounds like.

How to factory reset?

Hello and thank you for using Fixya.

First, You will need to make the recovery discs which are created using the built in program from your computer. Copy them onto a blank CD/DVD. Now insert the newly created restore disc to restore your factory settings by rebooting from the hard drive. Turn off the PC. Wait a minute. Now hold down the 0 (zero) key and push the power button once. A screen message will appear after a few seconds. Choose to reboot from HDD. (or you can choose to reboot with recovery disks using the DVD drive.) Follow the instructions. It will take about two hours to reinstall your operating system.

It takes two hours to burn a cd

I think you are burning with a very low speed, please burn it with the maximum supported speed( some disks support 52x) so that the burning will be faster.

Hope i have helped you. Please, dont forget to rate me.

Computer is slow, delay in processing

Well firstly,

you telling me that you took out the CD while it was in major use (data transfer onto computer) triggered A LOT of issues; like the ones you have now.

- Run Defragmenter (this WILL help if you have a lot of fragmented files; incomplete CD copying may be a part of it too)

- Check your devices; they may have been altered (Go to right click My Computer --> Manage --> Device Manager --> find the devices that are acting up)

- Run Disk Clean up (The files from the CD that were not successfully copied may have left some large temporary files on your Hard drive)

- Check your Sound drivers and Sound settings

Hope I helped

Very..very slow ...

I think there are lot of application that load at the time of startup and ecause of which your system is slow. To clean up startup items you can use MSCONFIG. this appoints you as a boss of your computer and you can select what programs should load and the ones that should be not allowed to load.

heres how you use this utility.

Do let me know if this helps.. :) best of luc...
